While it is true that most NFL teams have a reporter or public analyst that is plugged in on what the team is up to nobody but nobody spoils picks like Dave Lapham does for the CIncinnati Bengals. Watching the draft as a Bengals fan feels like a whole different experience than everyone else. It's like watching a tv reality show after reading all of the spoiler boards. It is comical.
Lapham is the team radio analyst (not sure if that is a position where he is paid by the team or the radio station) but he is enough of a public face for the team that he was the host of the draft party where they announced one of their draft picks on the tv broadcast (I think it was 4th - whatever round had the parrot). I honestly expected to hear the rest of our picks through round 7 and call it a day at that point.
Anyway is this a phenomenon unique to the Bengals or do other teams have a reporter/analyst/talking head that is generally on the mark with the team's draft plans? I honestly believe this cost us getting Ragnow this year and I just think it's only going to get worse. But nonetheless feel free to make this a thread to pile in your accurate draft predictors for your team.
