Does Ted Ginn Jr. Remind Anyone Else of Peter Warrick (1 Viewer)

The thing with Ginn is when he is on the field, it is obvious that no one is even close to how fast he is. It is ridiculous. He will be a stud in the pros because he is bringing both athleticism and a speed that will be fast even in the NFL. I would not be surprised to see him as the fastest at the combine, if not the fastest time turned in in a long time.

Ginn could also be a flex position, he could possibly be a corner, kick return man or wr. I would love to see OSU have him work out at db in pratice a little against Gonzo who is a 4.4 guy and maybe pull a Chris Gamble and maybe have him cover Manningham in 'THE GAME" against Michigan. I think Ginn has gotten better on his route running but is no where near NFL ready at WR IMHO. He is a threat and Smith should have connected with him on that deep ball in the 1st quater tonight. Ginn is helping Gonzo have a career year. Gonzo is better overall wr.
I find your final thoughts stunning considering you're a Buckeye fan. Gonzalez will be lucky to make it in the NFL. Ginn is going to be a star. Why are we still talking about Ginn running routes and being a WR? He runs fantastic routes and has excellent hands, and has been doing it since late last season. I agree it would be great if Tressell put him in at DB against Michigan. Very cool idea. I've seen Galloway and Jett live in the Murph at their fastest, and I cannot say either of them had better field speed than Ginn. It's the same. They run away from everyone, they make angles that seem impossible. Ginn's difference is his extra athleticism and he has better size than most think. He sheds tackles and runs with power. His acceleration is just mind blowing. Literally, if you tell me you've seen anything like this before, I'd like to see it.

When they were recruited, Gonzo was 4.36 and Ginn was 4.45.Gonzalez

Your right, I really didn't want to paint him to be a posession guy. I just wanted to point out he has the heart to make the tough catches. He has the speed and tenacity to be a #1 wr, but needs to work on his moves a little more. He is also a workout freak so look for his upper body strength to improve even more. The guy actually sleeps in a hyperbolic chamber every night because he believes it improves his stamina.

Guys remember that the days of the "BIG 6'2+ WR" are starting to come to an end.

The League Leader board last year was FILLED with WR's under 6'2 and the top 2 Wr's last year (Moss, S. Smith) are under 5'11"!

Ginn will be in their Class if he continues to develop. If he stays for his Senior Year, he'll be a Top 10 pick in '08. His Workout Numbers will be OFF THE CHARTS.

Scouts will LOVE him and he will have been productive against Top Competition and a CHAMPION.

There's Track Speed and there's Football Speed. I've seen VERY FEW Human beings as fast as Ted Ginn JR. with pads and a Helmet on. Less than 5.

P.S. Peter Warrick didn't run for Scouts at the Combine. He DID however agree to run at FSU's Pro Day. On that day, it rained badly outside and they moved it indoors. He ran a 4.55 on an Indoor Track. Ron Dugans, the "Other FSU WR" ran a 4.45. There were FSU LB'ers who ran faster than him that day.

It was reported that he dropped out of the Top 20 picks that day. It would have been interesting to see where he would've fallen to if the PRE-MARVIN BUNGLES wouldn't have taken him at #4. I was SHOCKED!
