Dolphins D the rest of the way (1 Viewer)

I know in a lot of leagues a trade/free agent deadline is approaching. If you need a defense the rest of the way a prime pickup should be the Dolphins who are available in most leagues.

Remaining schedule:

10 Nov 09 SEA @ MIA Dolphin Stadium 1:00 PM Seattle

11 Nov 16 OAK @ MIA Dolphin Stadium 1:00 PM Oakland

12 Nov 23 NE @ MIA Dolphin Stadium 1:00 PM New Engalnd

13 Nov 30 MIA @ STL Edward Jones Dome 1:00 PM St. Louis

14 Dec 07 MIA @ BUF Rogers Centre 4:05 PM Buffalo

15 Dec 14 SF @ MIA Dolphin Stadium 1:00 PM San Fran

16 Dec 21 MIA @ KC Arrowhead Stadium 1:00 PM KC

****

17 Dec 28 MIA @ NYJ Giants Stadium

That has got to be the most favorable schedule remaining for any D and Miami has come on a little as of late a scored well in Weeks 8 and 9. The improved play of their offense has got to help the D as well.

Is the Parcell philosophy working/team gelling or have they been lucky?

Seems like a solid move.

:wall: I'm banking on this too, I have a 12 man league which gives great risk /reward for having a great D.. I just Hope Miami is my Diamond in the rough with Seatle this weekend .

I agree - the Dolphins should be good to go the rest of the way. They have a strong pass rush and have one of the better schedules in the league down the stretch. Plus at 4-4, with such as easy schedule they should be in the hunt for a playoff spot until the very end. Even week 14 vs the Bills isnt that bad if you dont have a secondary option.

i think they'll be huge. i'm planning on starting them over NYG DST several weeks from here on out

:banned: I think I will be rotating between them and Buffalo the rest of the way.
Ditto, but then I thought things over...I am DTBC'ing them w/ the Chargers. As much as I wish I had the brass cajones to do it, I just cant bring myself to solely rely on Miami's anything the rest of the way, be it QB, RB, WR, TE, K, or DST...

if you don't want MIA D or RBrown in the ff playoffs against SF / KC, i'll take em off your hands for ya

Well, I spent a fairly big chunk of cash last night to pick up the Dolphin D. I'm 8-1, and getting close to getting a bye in week 1 of the playoffs (week 14). In addition, we play a doubleheader in week 11. They play Oakland at home that week. That coupled with their matchups in week 15/16 made them absolute standouts in my mind.

:hey: Ronnie Brown is at 600 yards and 8 TDs and counting - after being eased into play during the first couple of weeks, and with the above defenses on the remaining schedule. The Dolphins have one of the easiest schedules remaining, one of the highest differentials for RBs (indicating the position's production is likely to improve), and third best schedule in the FF playoffs.

That said, I can understand not relying on this D in leagues that penalize for allowing a lot of points or yards. But under most scoring systems that do not provide for negative points, the Miami D is a good bet to be top-10 the rest of the way - esp. with Ginn back at ST duty.
