I've noticed a few of these signs around the city.  I finally decided to do a little search and came across what it is and where it started.

What a simple yet brilliant and thoughtful idea that was carried out.  The fact that these simple signs have saved lives is amazing.

It's worth a few minutes to look through it and to consider doing a small part yourself.

The silly thing is I noticed it at the bottom of a hill one day and thought it was for "runners" the first day I saw it.  But afterward and having later noticed it in another location, I realized it wasn't and finally got around to looking into what it really was.
