Doug Martin (1 Viewer)

Classic over reaction to a preseason game, I don't think Blount played well ( I was surprised he played at all) because of the groin injury. Blount has averaged 5.0 and 4.2 in his first two seasons so the 3.1 talk is stupid

his value is pretty darn high right now. outside of a long term blount injury, it cannot go any higher. in general, if you buy now, you are buying high

Didn't Martin just lose a linemen?

How's the Bucs depth at guard?
Yes, he was a good one but it's okay.Martin will just fly over people if he has too.

Lock for at least 1300 total yards and at least 5 TD's (barring injury).......

Loosing Josheph hurts but I'm still expecting better numbers than this. I'd say 1400 total yds and 7 TDs is the floor. Martin will be very solid this year.

Fixed it for you.

Joseph is a solid lineman. The Bucs DO have better depth on the O-line than their D-line but this hurts.

Solid is putting it lightly. He's our 2nd best lineman, by a decent margin. Penn is great, but he's hardly a big time run blocker. Davin was very balanced. Hardman wasn't bad in replacing Joseph before, so hopefully he's the guy to take RG. Larsen leaves a lot to be desired.Saying we have better depth than on the DL isn't saying a lot, especially with the injury to Bowers.

His value in "patriots country" went up last night. I would agree with that. I would say if you live in these parts and wanted him on your team, you will have to shoot at least a round earlier than you were anticipating.

I posted this in another thread, but everyone remembers how Spiller lit it up in the preseason his rookie year, and until the last 6 games of last year he looked like a total bust (someone with more internet savvy than me please look up his preseason games stats) it is still just the preseason and Blount wasn't going to play as much or as affective with his injury.

hopefully this is a good topic to put this information in but the recent loss of guard Davin Joseph was huge for the Bucs. using my ranking system, swapping in Ted Larsen for Joseph results in a drop from 6 to 15. This is a big drop. Joseph was a multiple pro bowl/all-pro type of player. Ted Larsen is actually a tough and rugged player. But he's a huge drop off from Joseph. Massive. The Bucs go from one of the best lines in the league to more of an average or mediocre line.

they have one of the best o-lines in the league. to my knowledge, he was a lesser lineman. for what its worth, if your going to loose one, that the one to loose
Most uninformed post in the history of the shark pool.
