Draft anaylysis from three years ago (1 Viewer)

Has anyone pointed out that the draft under analyses is only 2 years old? These guys have only had 2 seasons of play, not three.
I did like most have, but decided let it slide and be constructive by adding comments for Giants players, as that's a better use of my time than criticizing the OP's error.

Beaten. To. Death.
I missed it entirely so great point. Its May so if people want to be anal and really go off then we've had 2 years and five months since the last THREE NFL drafts have taken place. Many pundits say that you cannot rate or rank or grade drafts soo soon after we have had a draft but few if any truly go back to look at drafts from a few years and really look at how those players are working out. Right after a draft the players and teams are confident but it is a process that rarely works out exactly as planned. Some perform better than expected and a few bust but many haven't distinguished themselves one way or the other. Oh and if people are really upset and want to go back 3.5 years and look at that draft then if we do that we will find the same thing where a couple of players will have perfrormed better than expected. A few will have busted and the rest will fall somewhere in the middle. If you go further back the players who were stuck in the middle will tend to either progress or get weeded out of the league so it changes with time and then its about the career arch of NFL players and that is another way to look at an NFL draft based not just on the players drafted but how they fit into the team. That is why the Pittsburgh draft looks so good to me because if you look at the age o their defensive line and what they have done the last two years in drafting Ziggy Hood and Cameron Heyward it allows them to transition from older-veteran D-Linemen to younger guys. The point of the thread is to begin to pull in a few different ways to look at an NFL draft because I think we are not going to have much football to talk about for a long time. It might be a good idea to take a deeper look at some of the past drafts and see how they have transpired. It might lead to a few good discussions.

Rams RT Jason Smith is getting better each game. True, he was drafted to be a LT at #2 overall, but that shows you how good Roger Saffold is. Rams have 2 very good OT's for many years.
