Draft Dominator Mocks (1 Viewer)

I need to start by saying that I think the DD is a GREAT tool. The problem is that the mocks absolutely baffle me. They are never anywhere near close to a real draft in my experience. The basics of my scoring system are: 5pt passing TD 6 for all other TD's. 1PPR for WR/TE and .5 PPR for RB 1 pt for 20 pass yards and 1 pt for 10 rushing. There are 4 pt bonuses for 100 yards rush/rec. and 4 pts for 300 passing. I fired up my DD for my next draft in which I am drafting 6th. I quit by the 2nd round to type this. Guess who was available for my first two picks...LJ and Gore. 10 WR's were taken before my second pick. I just don't get it. Can someone help me out here. I'm all about WR with my second pick...in my last draft(same scoring) I went RB WR WR WR, but come on, LJ and Gore will be gone before I get my first pick, just like they were in the last draft.

I prefer to dictate the mock. This way I can plug in players as I see how the draft would typically go. You can't always get the best results, but this is one way.

Agreed...this makes it closer. If you have Worse Starter Method for the VBD Baseline, you end up with the results like you are describing.

The Mocks using the DD have value, but I prefer to use ADP data from another source or two, and compare previous drafts in the league to see when certain positions are likely to be drafted. Who the #17 RB or #13 WR is doesn't specifically matter all that much. I just want to know how many of each position are likely to be gone before my next pick, and how many of each postion are going to go before I get to the pick after that. Then I look at that data, along with the current needs for my team and my original gameplan, and decide who I'm taking.

Joe's secret formula is for your picks, leave that where it is.One the page where you check the box to show which team is yours is where you should make sure all the other teams draft by ADP or if they are a bunch of guppies, by an average of the mags.

do you mean to have the "expert" chosen in the line-up page? I don't see an option for "draft other teams by ADP" anywhere...

For the tab that says Team names, pick either CBS, Mock draft central or My fantasy, if your league-mates aren't very good pick mag avg.

Thanks for all your help guys. This makes a huge difference. Way more realistic. I love having the mock feature available with this tool because you can run so many mocks from different drafting spots without having to use the entire offseason to do it at AntSports.
