Draft Dominator Question (1 Viewer)

Do you guys keep your rankings profiles in the default position or move them around a bit.

ppr league, all tds are six points.  QB/2RB/2WR/TE/Flex/K/Def

Keepers RB Ekeler, Jones III, Lindsay, Mattison   WR  Golladay, AJ Brown, Parker  TE Higbee   Def San Fran

Most of the top RBs are on the board yet it's focussing on Michael Thomas 1, CMC 2, and then Kyler Murray 3.  It doesn't even show me another RB until Saquon Barkley 14th down on my list.  If I follow the current DD with Mock Drafts they'd have me draft Kyler Murray at 9 and Calvin Ridley at 12.

In no world does this seems like a good idea to me.

Any advice on where to put the sliders for Upside, Value Based Drafting, Position Need, and Position drop offs?

I have run into similar weird things using the DD for mock type situations.  I have gone away from following it for those reasons.  Plus its more fun coming up with those lists on my own.  hahahaa

I think I’m having similar issues with Alvin Kamara always going in the last half of the 1st round in a standard league.

Does DD think youre in a start 2QB league?
No, I think it just is taking into account that Quarterbacks are pretty heavily kept and I don't have a QB.

Mahomes, Jackson, Wilson, Watson, Brees, Prescott, Wentz, Stafford, Jones, Ben R, Goff, Allen, Mayfield, Tahnnehill, Rivers, Newton and more are all keepers.

They are probably looking at the drop off and upping my need for a QB.  But in my opinion they are upping it too far.

I believe it is because based on your keepers, in it's formulas, you are set with starters and backups at RB and WR and are in desperate need of a QB to fill in your lineup, thus the value of QBs going way up. I'm not sure there is a setting that can truly accommodate this scenario where the keepers may not be the top players at the position. If you trust the FBG projections/rankings, and I find them a valuable tool, you can always set up your league, create a cheatsheet based on your league rules, cross off the keepers and see who floats to the top - their default format gives you a top 60 overall in addition to the position rankings.

It's what i will probably end up doing, but in previous years I have been able to use Draft Dominator pretty well for running mock draft scenarios.  Nothing I do seems to run anywhere near what the draft will probably look like.  I don't go 100 percent by the tool anyway.  It's just a really nice tool when you can get it working the way you want it to.
