Oh well, this is not going well. Chad Jackson is not available. For accuracy, I gave him to the Eagles in a recount. Stop voting for him. Also, I need mod powers. Joe? David?

:goodposting: FYI - When creating a poll and you put somebody on the list by accident, do not draw attention to your mistake by putting in big-bold-red letters, "DO NOT VOTE FOR SUCH-AND-SUCH OPTION."

It's like Jim Rhome saying, "blah-blah-blah...Chris."

This seems like as good a place as any to insert this. Here is my mock through 15 picks:

1.01 Hou - Bush

1.02 NYJ from NO - Leinert

1.03 Tenn - Young

1.04 NO from NYJ - Ferguson

1.05 GB - M.Williams

1.06 SF - Hawk

1.07 Oak - J.Williams

1.08 Buf - Justice

1.09 Det - M.Huff

1.10 Arz - Ngata

1.11 St.L - V.Davis

1.12 Clev - K.Wimbley

1.14 Balt - Cutler

1.15 Den - D.Williams

:D

The f'ing idea that the Brondos take a RB in the first gives everybody such a huge stiff this mock will be skewed.

if Chad Jackson is off the board, I don't see how Denver doesn't take a safety or DL.
Many rate Holmes higher than Jackson. I sure do, and I'm pretty confident about it. You can have an opinion, but you can't read Shanny's mind. You sure can vote for a safety if you want. I tried to include a bunch.

LenDale White...
He's going to have to do a heck of a sales job. I know he's trying. He really wants to play there. I don't see it happening. Denver's great weakness is the DL. I don't know how they try to fix it, but this pick wouldn't surprise me at all. We have five votes spread out over three DLs, and one is mine. So, I'm in a big minority here.

We're stalled at 34 votes and a pretty close race. I am counting the CJ2 votes for Santonio. He's ahead by 4. I'm closing this in 15 minutes and trying to get this thing back on the tracks.

nah, I'm the one who voted for Hali. If not Hali, then pick which ever DE rates highest on their board. I've been watching Shannahan draft for years - he never seems to go the direction convetional wisdom says he should go. He has gotten burnt twice in WR's in the first, I don't believe that he will look to go that route again. He has been very sucessful on the defensive side of the ball in the first round, however.Another thing I believe Shannahan thinks about come draft day is what eliminated them from the playoffs last year. Three years ago, they got ripped at Indy and so he brought in Champ. Two years ago, they got ripped in Indy again, so he drafted 3 DB's with the first three picks. This year - I say one large reason they lost to Pitt is they couldn't get good pressure on Big Ben - couple that with Pryce moving to Bal, and the D-line should be a priority. Warren signed for a big contract so I think they are happy with the interior, they should be looking to DE in the first.

I do believe that Shannahan (ok, me personally) prefers a bigger, taller WR - hence I believe Jackson is the ideal pick. I am afraid Holmes and Moss are on the small side - hence, my reasoning for passing on Holmes.

I agree with all of this. Considering my blunder, this poll is flawed, but I'm going with Holmes here unless some votes change it quick. Just know I don't like it, but need to move on.
