I'm reading Matt Waldman's RSP. I think it is fantastic. What other draft guides have you guys used, and found solid? Trying to absorb as much info going in to this draft as possible and looking for any help I can get.
ORANGE Report is always great and should be out in a week. NDT Scouting has a good one. Part one of NDT came out on Monday and the next one will come out tomorrow.
Same along with twitter and endless internet sources, I can't just come up with a reason why you need a draft guide anymore? What am I missing, what kind of information are you obtaining from these draft guides that you did not already know?
Waldman's RSP provides me with much more information than I have time to glean for myself. Been using it for years and I find it invaluable for my fantasy draft preparations. Haven't bothered looking for other similar types of sources because it's enough for me.
I agree the casual fan does not need them. Draft guides or paying for service seems like something even the non casual fan doesnt need to do in the world of free accessible information.
That makes a lot of sense. I am different in that I can't get enough before the draft, but then I think the value for me is when a player changes teams and it would be nice to have a reminder of what the players strengths/weaknesses were coming out of college. Sometimes a player just doesn't get a chance or seems like a poor fit for his first NFL team.
Which one do you think is the best value if you had to pick just one? I enjoy listening to Waldman, Brugler, and PFF now.

Maybe, but isn't it like anything else on the internet? There is probably enough licence free music on the internet you would never actually need to pay to listen to music for the rest of your life. But that doesn't stop a whole lot of people from paying a reasonable fee for Spotify for high quality music curated in a convenient way. Similarly, you could likely cobble all the same draft information together yourself for free from many, many sources if you worked at it hard enough..... but if there is a source you really trust and value their evaluations it makes sense to spend a nominal fee to save a lot of time and energy and support that source.

Good point, and am not against them just seems unneeded for people if they happen to have time to dig for the research yourself. I have no doubt saving time helps others and its worth the fee, and maybe I'm just a penny pincher. Love seeing people get paid for hard work though and doing research is work. I did like the draft guides before the world of the internet I just happen to see a lot of the stuff as redundant since I should have been clearer.

I really can't answer that fairly. I haven't dug into them enough to say.
I'll say that when it comes to ranking players for fantasy, I am a big believer in specialization. There are draftniks out there that have made a name for themselves by focusing on one aspect, and I like that a lot. Matt Harmon for WR, Justis Mosqueda for edge guys, etc.
Waldman has a more macro speciality, offensive fantasy, but I value his RB thoughts more highly than anyone. The only person I heard mention Jalen Richard last year, the only one.
I like Kyle Crabbs/NDT Scouting, they are not afraid to walk alone on certain rankings, and I value that.
I'm not paying that, not when draft geeks I respect a lot more than those guys are putting out much more detailed info (I have no doubt) for a fraction of the price. Frankly, I always thought it was weird the ITP guys were making a guide, they never seemed that deep into draft coverage.
Whatever, if anyone gets it, let me know if it's any good.
