Draft pick trade (1 Viewer)

Hey all,

This is a 10-team league, 1 PPR. Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 2 RB/WR/TE flex.

I have the #1 overall pick in the draft. The other individual involved has the #4.

The offer his his 1st and 4th rounder - #4 and #37 - for my 2nd and 3rd rounder - #20 and #21.

It'll be tough losing the great picks at the 2-3 turn but being able to have the #1 and #4 pick to snag two of the top 4 RBs or even 1 top WR would be nice. There are still some nice options at the #37 spot too. I'm leaning towards a yes on this one but wanted to see what y'all thought. Appreciate the assistance!

I'm confused as to why he would want to give you this.  Maybe I'm missing something, but I'd take the deal without hesitation. Top tier guys are hard to get.

It seems he's having a change of heart. He's willing to do his 1st and 5th now, instead of the 1st and 4th. That would mean #4 and #44 in the snake draft. Would you still be willing to do this with these picks?

I would jump on either deal (obviously the 1st & 4th is better).  Maybe counter with another pick swap later in the draft to his benefit to keep the 1st/4th aspect of the deal instead of the 5th.

That's an easy yes. Even with the drop from the 4th to 5th (Honestly I'ld probably give up the 20/21 for #4 with NO added late pick, so...)

Revisiting this as our draft is coming up next Tuesday, 9/3. The other owner has brought up this trade again and is sticking with his 1st (#4 overall) and 5th (#44 overall) for my 2nd (#20) and 3rd (#21). As mentioned, I also have the #1 overall pick so I'd be drafting at #1, #4, #40, #41 and #44. Zeke's holdout has muddied the waters a little bit as to who I could take at #4 but would the consensus still be accepting this offer as it still being in my favor? And, if so, who would you take with these picks?

Would I snag one of the top WRs (Nuk, Adams, Odell, Julio, Thomas) at #4 and pair it with a top RB (Saquon, Kamara or McCaffrey) from #1 overall or would I still want to go with one of the other RBs (DJ, Bell, Connor, Chubb) with that #4 overall?

I'm a little concerned what my WR1 would look like by having to wait until at least #40 to start looking at WRs if I went RB-RB to start - potentially Cooks, Woods, Godwin, Lockett or Golladay as my WR1. However, would a RB-RB start with any of those guys at #1 and #4 be enough to overcome that?

I'm not in love with the options at #20 and #21 either but this is becoming a tough decision for how to construct my roster. I don't know anywhere I can mock draft with these pick swaps but I guess I could just do one and see who would've been available.

It seems the consensus before was to accept and may still be, but the 2nd part of it would be who would you draft with those two picks? Thanks again for any answers!

Thanks for answering. It's not necessarily that the RBs make me nervous. If I were to make the deal and Zeke were to sign before the draft, I would have no problem taking two of the top 4 RBs. Likewise, if he doesn't sign, I would likely just look to Hopkins or Adams to pair with my #1 pick.

However, just wondering what the best way to go about constructing a team with these picks. If I go RB-RB, I'd wait for my 1st WR until, at least, pick 40. Is that worth it if my RBs are 2 of Saquon, Kamara, McCaffrey or Zeke? Or would the better roster construction be to pair one of those top RBs with Adams or Hopkins?

If you can drop 16 picks on the later pick to move up 16 picks on the earlier pick that is good value and you take it. Either get two stud RB or trade down from #4 to get a WR spot pick and move up again with another pick. Otherwise take the two stud RB and just grab the best WR in 3 -4 and maybe even 5.

I think I'm leaning towards accepting. Just need to do some mock drafts I guess to see what my team would look like after a RB-RB start or RB-WR start with those #1 and #4 picks. Thanks for the help.
