Draft strategy quandry..#1 overall but what to do @ 2:12/3:1 (1 Viewer)

12 team redraft. standard scoring w/ ppr. must start 1QB, 2RB,2WR,1TE,1k,1Def + a flex of either a WR, RB or TE.

LT is the obvious # 1 pick.

My thoughts are that if LT can and is capable of putting up enough pts for 2RBS then I am going to take WR's in each of the next two picks.

However, I feel that there are more WR's to choose from in later rounds than RB's. I am very intrigued with Thomas Jones and if he is there when I pick at 2:12, I am going to have to seriously consider him.

Based on the flex player format, and that RB/WR's will make up 5 starters, I want to address those first five players that are likely to be my nucleus first before QB, TE etc..etc...

If I go LT, WR, WR I am left to choose from a mish-mosh of the following RB's in rds 4/5 - - - - - just a quick list

Ahman Green, Jamal Lewis, Warrick Dunn, Jerious Norwood, MBIII, Julius Jones, Lamont Jordan, Deangelo Williams, Deshaun Foster, Reuban Droughens, Cadillac, Tatum Bell, Fred Taylor, Chester Taylor, Vernand Morency, Chris Brown, Lendale White, Adrian Peterson, Deuce McCallistar..

I am still not certain if I should go LT, RB, WR or LT, WR, WR...

Any suggestions or others in the same position?

I just drafted Sunday night with the same scoring format as you except for the fact that I have to start 3 WR and no flex position. I chose LT #1 and then I was amazed of the WR's still remaining on the board. I would have liked to have grabbed a WR and another RB at the turn but I saw too much value remaining. Here is how my first 6 picks went:1. LT2. Holt3. Wayne4. Peterson5. Cadillac6. CotcheryWhile I did not intend to draft this way, the draft molded itself to me in this fashion. Of course my selections depend on Peterson starting over Chester Taylor and Cadillac Williams to have some decent games as RB2, but in a PPR league, having those WR's available at the turn were just too much to walk away from. Thomas Jones was available to choose, but obviously I decided a different direction.I don't mean for this to be a "see how I drafted" response for a comment, but merely to show that there are many different options to build your team in the draft from the #1 spot with a PPR league format.
