I have a 10-team PPR league (2-keeper), serpentine draft.
I am trying to decide whether to take a higher draft slot, #2 (effectively the 4-5 spot, since ADP and LT are gone) or slide down to #9/10 and sacrifice my 1st round pick for a good keeper.
Does anyone see any advantage to sliding down to 9/10, in terms of best value in the top 4-5 rounds?
Is getting picks 10/11, 30/31 better than taking the #1 pick, then 20/21, 40/41?
I am not sure how much advatage you gain sliding down a pick or two, so that subsequent picks are 'higher'.
When does having a top pick stop being an advantage?
In 10 team serpentine, by pick 11, the 10th guy has 2 of the top 11 players. By pick 19, the top guy only has 1 player still
So is the value of that top player worth waiting another 18 picks for your #2?
I assume this has something to do with where the perceived dropoff in talent occurs. If it occurs after the top 30 or so players, then doing 10/11, 30/31 means you have 4 of those top players vs. three.
