Draft Tonight - comments on thoughts (1 Viewer)

Yes, our draft is early, but life got in the way for having it later. We always require everyone be together. This is a TD only league, Old School, been going for 30 years now, no need to comment on how crazy it is, I know. I am looking at the end spot of the draft order. QBs always go heavily in the 1st Round. I expect at least 5 and maybe up to 7 gone by my pick. Fairly certain Barkley and Kamara will be gone as well. I will get double picks all the time, so that is something going for me.

Expected Available Players:

QB: Rodgers (maybe), Mayfield, Ryan

RB: Chubb, Elliott, McCaffrey

WR: Pretty much all of them.

Option 1 (WR/WR): I could go Hopkins/Adams/Hill/Beckham. Any combination of the 4. I am leaning towards Adams being #1.

Option 2 (WR/RB): IF I go this route, it would be Chubb/Adams. McCaffrey gets a ton of yard and looks, but lower on the TD radar. Elliott scares me because Bell killed me last year.

Option 3 (QB/WR hookup): The only way I would go this route is if I could nab Rodgers/Adams or Mayfield/Beckham

QBs: I think there is  very good value waiting until Round 5/6. Goff, Wentz, Winston, Newton, Cousins, and others will be around. I would have to play QBBC and watch matchups.

RBs: If I skip on R1/R2, I would be committing 3 of my next 4 picks to the RB position and everyone will pretty much know that. I would be hoping Chris Carson, Damien Williams, Derrick Henry types will be there.

WRs: Obviously, I would have MY top 2 if I went WR/WR.

Any thoughts on strategy?
