Drafted last night in a (7X7) (1 Viewer)

This is a 7X7 roto league. There are 11 teams in the league and the extra cats are Triples, OPS, Losses and Holds.

I have no bats on the bench right now, so I will have to drop at least 1 pitcher to grab a catcher (start 1). Closers and speed went very early, so the relief pitching is a mess.

There's less point in chasing SVs in a HLDs league. I'd focus more on RPs who'll provide good peripherals and less on their roles. Setup guys who can help in ERA, WHIP & Ks can be just as valuable as marginal closers in your format.

Yep. I'd go after Balfour, Howell, Downs - at least two of those guys is probably still available.Not sure Wandy Rodriguez is going to be rosterable this year - cross your fingers.

I took Wandy in the 27th round. There are 4 DL slots in this league, so I thought it was worth my last pick.The relief pitcher field is pretty poor. Balfour, Howell and Downs are all rostered. Most teams carry 3 setup guys. Because of this there are usually some decent bats on the wire.

That is part of the reason we did not draft another Catcher. I knew Lackey may start the year there.

In an 11 team mixed league w/ one C and short benches, there should be some decent talent available. Maybe decent is pushing it, but the replacement level shouldn't be much lower than teams that waited on drafting a C.
