Drafting from 12th spot strategy (keeper league) (1 Viewer)

12 Team keeper league:
0.5 PPR
6 Pts all TDs - TE's are a FLEX WR/TE spot, so don't NEED to draft them.

I have the 12th overall pick - and will be keeping Barkley in the 1st and BTJ in the 6th round. So I have pick 2.1 and here are the current keepers going in the first round:

Chase
Jefferson
Bijan
Lamb

Notable keepers in other rounds:

London (2nd)
Gibbs (2nd)
Hurts (3rd)
Puka (4th)
N. Collins (5th)
Achane (8th)
C. Brown (8th)
Bucky (9th)

So that leaves the available player pool in no particular order:
Nabers
CMC
Jeanty
Henry
JT
ARSB
AJ Brown
Jacobs

QBs go relatively early - - Allen was selected 2nd round last year, Hurts and Lamar 3rd. If I wait till the 3/4 round swing, my guess is most of the top tier QBs will be gone.

Should I pull the trigger on Allen or Lamar and hope for some good RB/WR talent next time around? Or just go best available WR/RB?

What does that mean? If you are still getting a top 8-10 QB then I don't force a QB with your first pick and it would depend on who is available at RB/WR there. You only listed 8 players so I am doubting any of those guys make it to you. If you add Allen and Lamar that's only 10 players so you are still two short.

I need to see what you are choosing Lamar/Allen over to know if I would do that or not.

Yeah should elaborate - -

If I pick an RB/WR at 2.1 to pair with Barkley/BTJ, by the time it gets back to me at the 3/4 turn - Allen, Lamar, Hurts (keeper), Daniels, and Burrow will likely be gone. Our league is particularly QB heavy to start. A team of either Lamar/Allen/Hurts has won the league almost every year for the last 5-6. My guess is that "maybe" JT, AJB, Kyren, Jacobs is available at 2.1. And one of Allen/Lamar. Obviously everything goes out the window once the draft starts.

I mean if Allen/Lamar essentially guarantees you playoffs and a title shot then I guess you have to go there no matter who is available. Of your "maybe" options I would maybe take Jacobs or AJB over the QB's (but your scoring system may not support that based on your comments).
