I personally like it a lot. You drafted a number of players I'm very high on this year in Ethier, Sanchez, Marmol, Gallardo, Hill, V-Mart, Rios, and Justin Upton. I really think that Holliday is going to break hearts this season, but who knows. I also think A-Rod is going to miss a lot more time that they are saying. I think you could use another closer on this team. I am doubting Motte saves more than two or three.Scoop up some closers as the season wears on and you'll be in great shape.

It's a pretty solid team. Don't listen to Mr. Pickles about Holliday. Getting him at #25 was decent value.

The only potential problem is you might have to chase SBs and SVs during the season. Ramirez is your only SB threat; Arod, Pierre and Holliday will steal fewer bases this year. Rios has only one big year in the SB department. Toronto may look to run him more due to the overall weakness of their offense but the BJs were near the bottom of the league in SBs in 2008.

I like Marmol and Motte but I'm not sure Piniella and LaRussa agree.

Eephus reiterated that Holliday was an average prospect with the Rox, so it makes me laugh that he's on board for his numbers to hold up so well sans Coors.

Steals will be an issue. Pierre would be gone from LA if he didn't have that absurd contract. Even without people blocking him in the OF, I can't see why he deserves much playing time. Still, he could solve your problems with steals. Just don't count on it.

Why no one is talking about A-Rod not running this season is beyond me. That's a big part of his value. He won't run even if he's feeling healthy upon his return.

An as big of a fan I am of Marmol's, it's very possible he could be 8th inning only again this season. I just have faith that eventually even Lou can spot an unhittable phenom when he sees one. Regardless, the Ks will be there.

Holliday was never really a hot prospect in the minors. He repeated AA and didn't put up high numbers. A lot of people were skeptical he'd ever produce at a major league level but he's been consistently productive since making the show.I still don't recall ever being that negative about Holliday. Garrett Atkins was the guy I remember criticizing at BBT, for many of the same reasons plus having Stewart and Baker to compete with within the organization. I would admit I was wrong about Atkins but that was two or three forums ago and nobody really cares.
