Nicely done

Now if they could only get some pitching besides Kaz, they would actually have a shot at being a contender in the division

If the playoffs started today, the Rays would be in and the Yankees and Red Sox would be out.
And that's why they play the games. Good to see this generation of DRays prospects contributing early on though. Delmon, Upton, and Dukes should be the cornerstones of the offense for years to come

:goodposting: And hopefully ownership shoots the locks off their wallets and keeps some of these kids around instead of acting like a player development system for the big market teams.

offensively, the system needs a catcher. Navarro, Paul, Riggans are all reserves. John Jaso is the only other guy in the organization but even he profiles more as a reserve. They're trying Sergio Pedroza at catcher - if it works it will be interesting because he has a lot of power. Longoria coming up in the next 12-18 months, Brignac not too far behind him.

On the current pitching staff, I'll keep Kaz, Shields, and Orvella. Throw the rest of these guys away because they're worthless. Now add these names in the next couple of seasons:

Jeff Niemann

Jacob McGee

Wade Davis

Jeremy Hellickson

Matt Walker

Mitch Talbot

Andrew Sonnanstine

out of the draft - David Price?

Wade Townsend

All aboard the Rays train folks, this team is making the playoffs before the decade is out!!

Is 2010 this decade or the next? DRays are still 3 years away from having their pitching staff be respectable.

Well, the new ownership did sign CC and Rocco upon taking over the team. I suppose when the time is right they'll re-up Delmon, BJ and Kaz as well, if those guys want their arbitration bought out.The new owner has said countless times they've haven't made a splash in the FA market so they could re-do these guys when it's time.

off topic, but when did they drop the "devil" from their name and why?I keep hearing announcers correcting themselves when they call them the devilrays.

To my knowledge they're still the devilrays... but often announcers refer to the red sox as the sox.
