Rosenhaus' image has taken a hit after his handling of WR Terrell Owens' situation, and Jackson felt it was time for a change. "It's more, I'm looking toward the future and all what's been going on, and I don't need that right now going into contract negotiations," Jackson explained, "and I just wanted to go in on a positive note."

I think the players probably care more about the Javon Walker situation than the TO situation. In the TO situation the players feel like Drew was in there trying to work any angle he could for his client but in the Walker situation players see that he didn't help Walker get anything last summer and then Walker got hurt before getting extension. I think both situations, as well as all the oterh RosenHold-Outs, are equal factors. He seems to want to go into negotiations without the baggage Drew built for himself this year. Someone that management doesn't despise. Someone that gets something for his client OTHER than a seat at home on Sundays.The Walker case has an interesting twist to it. Now mgmnt, IMO, NEEDS to do the right thing with Javon. They played hardball against RosenHosen's hardball and won. But in the process Wlaker got hosed. They need to negotiate in good faith with him when the time comes to show that their posturing was honest. If they turn around and use the injury against him then they are no better than Drew.

If Walker returns to health and returns to the level of play he displayed in 2004 he'll get his money. That was never in doubt. The Packers have a huge amount of room under the cap for 2006 and one of their top plans was to extend Walker's contract. The injury put that plan on hold but paying Walker top dollar has always been a top priority with the Packers. That's what Rosenhaus never understood and what made his lame holdout threat such a joke. And it's not a surprise that Grady Jackson saw all that and wants no part of it. Good for him.

Walker had 2 years remaining on his deal and only had 1 good season under his belt.It was a sound business move by the Packers.

Yup. He made a huge tactical mistake and what's worse, he was proceding from a position with zero leverage. All he was doing was harming his client which is the worst thing an agent can do. It's no surprise Walker dropped him because of it and it's no surprise another Packer dropped him as well. Couple the misguided Walker situation with the asinine TO situation and it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that Rosenhaus is losing clients. And somewhere, all of the agents who had clients stolen from them by Rosenhaus are laughing and enjoying the turn of events.

I was speaking of the perception of what happened by the players that employ Drew more than the reality of the situation. Players have to look at the Javon situation and say he got screwed by managment........ and his agent.IMO if you play out the contract YOU sign you can't get screwed by anyone other than yourself but somehow I don't see players seeing it the same way I do.

I'm not a big fan of Rosenhaus, but blaming him for Walker's situation IMO is . Walker isn't some kid right out of college. He is a big boy who can make his own decisions. And if he was letting Rosenhaus dictate his actions with the Packers and not pulling the strings, then I have no respect for Walker. Man up and manage your own business. An agent should be negotiating on your behalf, advising when necessary, but not making decisions for you. Lame.
