i.e. ATL DEF vs CAR wk 14

This is just an example, but I had picked up the ATL last week in case i made the playoffs to use them this week.

I still want to play the game, but don't have a match in week 14, I will have a match in week 15 and 16, but ATL is useless for me those weeks. I know that ATL is the most added team from all FA player/teams right now (even more than Ivory, Watson, Choice) in yahoo leagues.

Would I be screwing up those players in the playoffs by allowing one of them to pick up the ATL?

We have an easy solution for this in our league. Teams that don't make the playoffs rosters are locked for the rest of the year. You can't drop or add any players. You can adjust your lineup if you are battling for the toilet bowl, but as we say, you got to play with the mess that got you there!

Yep, same here. When I woke up this morning, I went into the abilities setting in MFL and deselected what was necessary for the 6 teams that did not make the playoffs - including submitting lineups, ww picks, FA, trades, etc.

If you're playing past week 13, you're still allowed to make whatever roster moves you like.

Why wouldn't you be allowed to?

We do the exact same thing.

We used to lock rosters, but now our league is a keeper league so we have to allow moves all the way through. I don't think you would be screwing with the league too bad if you drop a one-week matchup defense, but maybe you could just drop someone else or wait to drop them until it's too late for someone else to play them.

if you have a waiver system I would wait just before the deadline to make FA pick ups to do your transaction. That way no one will be able to pick them up and use them.
