Dudley Guice (1 Viewer)

Here is the Draftguys take on him:

He is on the Colts roster which is pretty deep at WR. Does anyone know more about this kid? Do you think he can actually make it, the skills set seems very good, but it then I wonder why a team didn't take a chance on him in the draft. He ended up being a walk on and then signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and signed a future contract with the Colts in Jan.

I liked him a lot as a rookie, but he was drafted to a WR graveyard (Tennessee).

When I saw Indy had signed him, he went back on the radar for me.

If he makes it out of training camp with the Colts, that would be the break he needs.

but it then I wonder why a team didn't take a chance on him in the draft.
I wondered the same exact thing. He looked like someone that a WR-hungry team would've taken a chance on in the 6th/7th round easy. Good sign how fast he signed after the draft...the same night it ended IIRC. As mentioned above, just too bad it was to a place where he had litterally no shot of doing anything. I think he'll be one of those guys who gets a shot somewhere down the line, maybe after bouncing around a team or two, much like guys like Aromashodu. Not worth rostering...definitely worth remembering.

I'm really excited to watch Guice in pre-season this year. He seems like a really good fit for the Colts' system and a guy with the potential to contribute down the road. Realistically, he probably needs to develop into a standout special teams player or benefit from an injury to one of the WR's ahead of him if he's going to make the team. Seems like a good practice squad prospect though, and hopefully he can keep Hank Baskett off the roster.
