Dustin Keller (1 Viewer)

I'm thinking of going Moeaki or H. Miller over him from here on out. Just too inconsistent. I didn't watch the game but listened to it for awhile. Commentators were aghast at how poor Sanchez's decisions and accuracy were today.

Keller is really dependent on tds, IMO. I think he is a fantastic receiving tight end, but his qb is average at best. There is no in between with keller. He will either catch a touchdown (or 2) with 50 yards, or get 2 catches for 12 yards. Not good in head to head leagues, IMO.

Just to add, Sanchez is a media darling, but he is simply not a good qb. Kind of reminds me of when David Carr was given such a big leash.

That's kind of a low blow. Carr was never that bad.
:goodposting: Don't know why I am laughing because I am a Sanchez owner. But he is not very good. Which is too bad, because by the time the Jets finally part ways with him, they won't be as good on O and D as they are now.

Describes just about every TE outside the top 2/3.

Um not Witten in PPR. Oh yeah I'm sorry he is top 2/3. ;)

I like Keller going forward. His schedule is

9 - @Det

10 - @Cle

11 - Hou

12 - Cin

13 - @NE (he torched them for 115/1TD in week 2

For Yahoo owners is it true that Keller is designated by Yahoo as an undroppable player? A coworker was complaining about that but I don't own him in any leagues.

I'm not as down on Sanchez as some. He has been inconsistent, but he looks especially bad when he's playing conservatively. When they've opened up the offense a little, he has looked better. And more than anything, he's still a YOUNG QB. He's shown me enough to think he can eventually develop. Of the other younger prospects, I like Bradford, Ryan and perhaps Freeman more, but I prefer Sanchez to Flacco who himself has proven to be wildly inconsistent and make some bad decisions.

yes i own him. haha true. :goodposting:
he has been undroppable for several weeks now, but when I checked again yesterday in my Yahoo league he was removed from the Can't Cut List. Check again, he should be able to be dropped now...

Keller has really only had 2 bad games all year. With the potential for a multiple TD game, I'd consider him a very, very good buy low right now on the heels of a game in which the Jets got shut out. For that reason alone, many owners will be willing to part w/ him. Other than Gates, though, there's no other TE I'd rather have. All the "I'm benching Keller for (insert TE flavor of the week) is alarming and confusing. Sure, Sanchez is inconsistent but what TE's are usually good for either a TD or 50+ yards and have the potential for a monster game? Other than Zach Miller (who is dinged up, still has a bye in Week 10, and plays at Pittsburgh in Week 11) and of course Gates, who else is there?

Yah i don't get the hate either. In my standard scoring league Keller is TE6 at this point, and all but one of the guys in front of him have still yet to have their bye week. The only guys who have been more consistent than him are Gates, Witten, Zach Miller, and Vernon Davis. Unless any of those 4 guys are on your waiver wire, I'd stick with Keller for the year.

Plus, the same 3 of the 4 that have not had their byes are all injured right now. I guess I look at it like this. If a TE is capable of scoring multiple TD's, that's an absolute dagger in your opponent if it happens. i'll accept a little more inconsistency in a TE (a position generally expected to be lower output) for a chance to have a monster game.
