[Dynasty] 2025 NFL Draft Class (2 Viewers)

Jim Nagy
🐯Stats are rarely more misleading than in case of LSU's Garrett Nussmeier vs Ole Miss.

@Garrettnuss13 completed under 50% and threw 2 INTs but he ripped number of big-time CLUTCH throws late like this👇to force OT & win it.

𝐓𝐀𝐏𝐄 𝐃𝐎𝐍'𝐓 𝐋𝐈𝐄!

NFL teams will have challenge sorting out deep & talented 2025 RB class but @seniorbowl staff already has an early favorite in Iowa's Kaleb Johnson.

@Kj_Superman2 put us on notice in two live exposures this fall, rushing for 372 yards with 6 total TD.

Ray Garvin's latest. First time I've seen anything resembling a complete 2-round draft board for 2025. I think omitting QB in the first round of a 1QB is pretty sound judgement at this point. A little surprising that he didn't slot any of them into the 2nd (he has generally been pretty "in" on Shadeur), but he might be saving the QB discussion for another day.

1. Ashton Jeanty rb bsu
2. Tet McMillan wr az
3. Omarion Hampton rb unc
4. Travis Hunter (wr) co
5. Tre Harris wr ms
6. Emeka Egbuka wr osu
7. Luther Burden wr mizz
8. TreVeyon Henderson rb osu
9. Quinshon Judkins rb osu
10. Woody Marks rb usc
11. Kaleb Johnson rb ia
12. Nic Singleton rb psu

13. Ollie Gordon rb ok st
14. Tez Johnson wr or
15. Isaiah Bond wr tx
16. Jonah Coleman rb wa
17. Xavier Restrepo wr mia
18. Tyler Warren te psu
19. Evan Stewart wr or
20. Kyren Lacy wr lsu
21. DJ Giddens rb ksu
22. Tai Felton wr md
23. Ja'Quinden Jackson rb ar
24. ***

Remaining Board Names: Shadeur, Beck, Ward, Dart, Ewers, Moss, Milroe, Howard, Nussmeier, Donovan Edwards, Devin Neal, Monangai, Ricky White (wr), Bech, Loveland, Gadsden, RJ Maryland, Fannin

He states that this one is more about slotting players into ranges. However, he does have Hampton as his RB2, which was surprising based on his previous rundowns. Very bullish on Tre Harris and prefers him over Burden. Less clear that he actually prefers Egbuka over Burden (would definitely be a flip from previous shows). Might have Kaleb Johnson and Woody Marks over Judkins. Very intentional bump of Gordon down to the top of round 2.

Garvin has generally been pretty bullish on this class, less so for superflex with the lack of high-end QB prospects. He has previously stated that he envisions 5 or 6 RBs getting drafted in the top 2 rounds of the NFL Draft, which would be fantastic. Previously, McMillan was the only WR he had at a Brian Thomas level as a prospect, but believed Hunter had the potential if he goes WR. Hence, a little disappointing to see all of the WRs that he had moving ahead of the Judkins, Hendersons, and Gordons of the world.

Waldman's most recent rundown had me less excited. So far, only has Jeanty graded out as a Day 1 starting RB. I'm kind of fearful that what has been been billed as a great RB class is turning into Jeanty with very good depth offerings late in the 1st round and 2nd/3rd rounds of fantasy drafts. Hoping at least a couple more follow Jeanty to the top half of rookie round 1 drafts after the combine.

I love Ray Garvin, but he is wrong a LOT. I would have Judkins and Henderson above Tre Harris, and Judkins at #2 over Hampton. I like Hampton at #3 or #4.. Ollie Gordon should be above Woody Marks, Kaleb Johnson, and Nick Singleton. Bond should be above those three as well. With Hunter, he may not even play WR and choose to play CB in the NFL, but if he does play WR I like him in the top 8, ahead of Bond, but probably behind McMillion, Hampton,, and possibly Burden and Egbuka.

My prediction as of today for the 1st round of 12 team 2025 Fantasy Rookie drafts in 1QB. Normally I wouldn't put 2 QBs in the top 12 for start 1QB leagues, but I couldn't leave Shadeur Sanders and Cam Ward off of it.

1.01 - Ashton Jeanty RB Boise St.
1.02 - Quinshon Judkins RB Ohio St.
1.03 - Tetairoa McMillan WR Arizona
1.04 - Omarion Hampton RB North Carolina
1.05 - Luther Burden WR Missouri
1.06 - Ollie Gordon RB Ok St.
1.07 - Emeka Egbuka WR Ohio St.
1.08 - Isaiah Bond WR Texas
1.09 - Shadeur Sanders QB Colorado
1.10 - TreVeyeon Henderson RB Ohio St.
1.11 - Cam Ward QB Miami
1.12 - Dylan Sampson RB Tennessee

Travis Hunter Colorado, will he play WR or CB? Obviously if he plays CB he wouldn't be in this list.

Waldman's latest rundown on 2025 RBs (back half):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrnoxTG6KwE

  • Jeanty:
    • Not buying the Barry Sanders comparison for Jeanty, but not completely out on it.
    • Javhid Best was a closer comparison for him.
    • saw more quickness and lateral movement over contact balance, great stiff arm
    • only Day 1 starter grade so far (possibly still in the review process) -- side note: I really hope this isn't true or represents a very high bar for a workhorse level of RB
  • Judkins, Singleton, Gordon, Henderson seemed to be next in line
  • Judkins: chance for high-end, best case: Montgomery, but leaning more towards JaWilliams comp, older (Cleveland?) Hunt, better Tank Bigsby
  • Monangai: D Freeman type
  • Mafah: Stephen Davis or Fournette mold
  • Mario Anderson mem: Z Moss as a Colt
  • Singleton: very intrigued if 6' 224lbs is accurate, size and speed thru contact, what we hoped Travis Etienne could be
  • Favorite sleeper? Jacory Croskey-Merritt, A Jones comp, smooth, could surprise

No Dylan Sampson? Also, I believe Singleton's value isn't what it was in DEVY circles after his freshman season. He's currently 63/434/3. Not bad, good average, but not 2022 either. His 2023 season hurt his DEVY value. i definitely believe Hampton is a top 4 RB. Jeanty, Judkins, Hampton, Gordon, and Henderson.

I was suprised nobody discussed Sampson. Also out of Garvin's 2-round.

Not sure if it's warranted, but Singleton seems to be regaining some traction on a couple of podcasts that I've listened to lately.

Colorado State coach Jay Norvell announced star WR Tory Horton will be out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury that he suffered on Saturday. He finishes 35 yards short of all-time Mountain West receiving record.

The injury is expected to cost him the rest of the season, but he’s expected to be on track for NFL workouts after the season ends.

A bit of a “meh” analysis of what is expected to be the strength of this upcoming class.

Yeah, sounded like it. No need too worry too much about the player comps. Some of them speak to their level as a prospect, but many seem to just be used to describe a player stylistically. Also, there was a time when Javhid Best looked amazing before the injury derailed him. At one point in his career, Jamaal Williams was a real nice RB, even if not a physical freak.

"Only one Day 1 starter at the running back position" was jarring for me, but taken literally, that does amount to a very high caliber workhorse RB. For instance, I'm pretty sure Gibbs wasn't lined up in the backfield ahead of Monty on the first play of week 1 of the '23 season. If he's saying Jeanty is the only one tracking towards that, fair enough. He did also mention that his RB review was still a work in progress.

I have heard others (such as Garvin) predict 5 or 6 RBs in the first two rounds of the NFL draft. If it works out that way, you would certainly hope to see those guys at the top of their depth chart by mid-season.

That would be insane if that were the case, I highly doubt it ends up being near that number. Long ways to go though and still will be enough talent at that position that fit into some good situations. It does feel like the quality depth at that position is very high right now for NFL purposes. May take more work for some of these newer guys to break into lineups. Although if draft capital is high with a handful that should help.

I was high on Ollie Gordon going into the season, but he has been disappointing so far. Not expecting much from him tonight vs BYU either.

Certainly feels like we're tracking towards the under. A largely panned 2024 class had 4 in the top 3 rounds. I will feel like I've been sold a bill of goods if 2025 doesn't get 7 or 8 Day1/Day2.

1st Jeanty
2nd Judkins, Hampton, Henderson?

Singleton, Gordon, Kaleb Johnson, Sampson, Etienne maybe a few others could make a push. Really won't know until the combine draft.

Good up-close look here at vastly 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 Va. Tech RB Bhayshul Tuten (5090e, 205v) before last night's school record 266-yard rushing performance (and 4 TD).

Compact built NC A&T transfer is a light-footed cutter (see below) with good contact balance & a pull-away gear.

@bhayshul has already rushed for 8 more yards this season (871) than all of last year in six fewer games and he's averaging 2.0 more yards per carry than he did in 2023 (5.0 to 7.0).

After last night, Tuten is a virtual lock to become @HokiesFB first 1,000-yard rusher since @seniorbowl alum Khalil Herbert in 2020.

Good up close look at early oddsmakers favorite for 2025 NFL Combine's "Fastest Man", @GeorgiaFootball WR Arian Smith (5116v, 180v). Former world-class junior sprinter ran 10.29 100-meter in HS, fastest of any draft eligible prospect this year. That's 𝐑𝐀𝐑𝐄 speed! 💨

#TheDraftStartsInMOBILE™️

.@LSUfootball junior TE Mason Taylor (6046v, 244v), son of @ProFootballHOF & @seniorbowl HOF Jason Taylor, is one of top all-around F/Y tight ends in this year's #NFL Draft. Smooth pass catcher and far better & tougher blocker than given credit for.

#TheDraftStartsInMOBILE™️

LSU WR Kyren Lacy (6016v, 212v), who caught game-winner vs. Ole Miss in OT last week, is one of most improved wideouts in this year's draft. Huge catch radius with 34-inch arms.

#TheDraftStartsInMOBILE™️

The @seniorbowl is looking live at Maryland vs. USC. Few wideouts had a better first half of 2024 CFB season than @TerpsFootball sticky-handed Tai Felton (6007v, 180v). Already has 7 more catches (55) and only 4 less yards (719) as he did last year.
