Still shocked by the lack of love for Taylor. I think putting his age on there has scared some away, and maybe it should. I'd rather have 2 years of dominance over 4-5 of mediocrity, but thats just me.

So would anyone rational. Of course, Robert Mathis is far from mediocre. And I'd rather have 8 years of dominance than 2-3. Voting Mathis until he gets his slot.

Why in the name of god is Freeney on the list? Major bust after two good but not great years...he just can't get the sacks... :banned:

Kampman deserves votes even this early. He's the 4th ranked DL in my IDP league after Allen, Peppers and Taylor.

Old man or not, Taylor has to go here (or earlier). His tackle numbers are concerning, but that's made up for in forced fumbles and passes defended.

After that I like Kampman and Grant. Kampman continues to improve and has become one of the games best all-around defensive ends. Grant appears to be coming back this year and still has the potential to be the games top DL.

Based on the total votes I'm seeing for this #5 spot, there are several irrational voters then (comment not specifically geared toward Mathis). Also, I think Taylor's production for the next couple of years is easily the best bet of anything availble here... making him the clear choice for me (obviously you and many others disagree though... and thats cool).
