Dynasty - IDP on IR (1 Viewer)

I was realizing after reading the M.A.S.H Report that there are a fair number of guys who are either out for the year or could be out that long, and that it might be a good idea to have a place to discuss those players. Admittedly, I've got some of these guys on a roster.

I will try and keep this - the thread's first post - updated with guys who are on IR or are expected out for a while, and I think are relevant. If I missed anybody, feel free to toss them into the discussion. I will put my thoughts int he second post.

In general I'd drop these guys into the following categories:

Young guys with potential - hang on to them:

DT SEA Marcus Tubbs

SF NOS Roman Harper

LB MIN Chad Greenway

LB CHI Jamir Williams

Studs - keep these guys on the roster.

LB JAX Mike Peterson

DE DET James Hall

SF CHI Mike Brown

Should not be rostered in most leagues, and I don't know why guys are keeping them on IR:

SF IND Mike Doss

LB NYG Lavar Arrington

Useful or better if you break out their positions:

CB CLV Gary Baxter - injury prone in Cleveland

CB TBB Brian Kelly - probably worth holding

DT HOU Seth Payne - old and likely on last legs

Others:

LB DAL Greg Ellis - I am not sure he can come back and be productive, he's a tweener.

LB CAR Dan Morgan - Injured always, may be forced to retire.

DE PHI Javon Kearse - He's been disappointing the last few years, but he does get sacks.

DE ARZ Bert Berry - Injured 2 years in a row, now may be time to cut bait.

DE ATL Pat Kerney - Odd situation with Abraham also hurt.

Guys who are out indefinitely but I don't think are on IR:

DE NYG Osi Umeniyora - Stud when healthy, but Kiwanuka is now there.

DE NYG Michael Strahan - Stud when healthy, but Kiwanuka is now there.

DE ATL John Abraham - Don't know if he's actually going to make it back this season either.

There is some pressure to have Dan Morgan retire since he suffered a pretty serious concussion. There was talk that he could be forced to retire medically if he has 1 more hard hit.

Mike Peterson is 30 yo and they have several suitable replacements. Peterson is a stud, but he is in a cautious situation with his injury. How Jax treats their injured players will help define this situation, but I don't know what to expect.

Updated the first 2 posts.

I think the ATL & NYG situations are the most interesting.

Anyone think the Eagles won't be bringing Kearse back?
