In a dynasty format does Arrington have any value? Or is he not worth a roster spot any more?

He hasn't been relevant since 2003. No way I'd use a roster spot on him.

At this point I'd rather gamble on a younger player with potential like the rookies listed in the LB prospect thread than on Arrington. He's the kind of guy I'd watch through next year's preseason and pick up if he shows he's recovered and capable of playing well.

Agree.

Older LB with questionable desire in poor fantasy position and a history of two major lower leg injuries (nagging knee deal and torn Achilles) aren't worth keeping unless there are no other alternatives worth rostering.

Sam Cowart, Ed Hartwell, Takeo Spikes, Jamir Miller, etal are showing how difficult it is for a veteran LB who relies on speed to recover from an Achilles injury. Julian Peterson is proving to be an exception, but the odds are stacked against Arrington.

Lavar may be one stop away from retirement considering that the last time he played more than a handful of games as a starter at LB was 2003, believe it or not. I'm curious to see where he'll end up, but my opinion remains unchanged about his fantasy prospects (see above).

Most of that was with the Skins who wouldn't let him play though. It's hard to know what he could do on a different team.

Lavar wasn't healthy - the dispute with the coaching staff was just a convenient excuse. He insisted upon returning to the field too early in 2004 to play in a meaningless December game against the 49'ers, hurt his knee again, and then blamed the coaches for forcing him back too soon. He's never been the same after that. That knee is shot IMHO.

Unfortunately, we'll never know. I agree with Redman. The seriousness and location of his injuries will rob him of any explosiveness he once had. Since he's long been uncoachable and never shown any all-around LB skill, he's a serious longshot to have any NFL value.
