I have been offered Reagor + Hines for Edelman + 1.08.
I have:
Tua, Goff, Mullens
Swift/Johnson, Moss/Singletary, Gaskin/Ahmed/Bowden, Henderson, D. Evans, B. Hill, T. Homer, D. Freeman
AJ Brown, Godwin, Lamb, Moore/Samuel, Edelman, Edwards, G. Davis
Hockenson
Gano/Saints
1.02, 1.06, 1.08, 3.02
[Yes, I know I have to drop or combo-trade 10 guys just to use the 3.02 pick. Should probably try to acquire a future low pick or 2 or 3 just to not cut guys.]
ANYWAY... here are my thoughts on the trade:
Not worried about losing Edelman at all. Fairly obvious. The 1.08 pick, based on the way my league picks, would likely be a top receiver (Chase/Smith/Bateman/Waddle). Might think I'm crazy to think Chase could be 8th but I got Lamb with the 1.12 pick and AJ Brown with the 3.04 pick. My league is RB obsessed so all the good ones are picksled before anyone else, and you can always count on a few ... weird picks throughout the draft to make more WR's available later than they should be.
So I really would rather not lose that 1.08, but still I have the 2 and the 6.
And I really like Reagor's chances. Hines seems like a bit of a lottery ticket? If Taylor is what he looked like late 2020, I don't know how much they're going to keep trying to mix in Hines. He's good for PPR but I don't know if he has a prolific future in the NFL.
I wanted to take it but the more I think, I am leaning away from it. Thoughts?
Thanks!
