These are consensus dynasty rankings for year 2007

If you vote other, please specify.

Also, please comment on your vote, and list any player that should be nominated for the next round.

I like the chatter lets keep that going as we vote.

gheemony made a great point about one way to consider dynasty value for players in rankings by giving 50% value to 2007, 33% to 2008, and 17% to 2009. I know there are many ways to look at this and how hard it is to project for players even for one year. But I think it is significant enough that its worth mentioning. I am sure everyone has a different formula that they might use. But this one to me has some good balance and makes a lot of sense. And honestly probobly should be a topic of discussion in itself but thats another thread. For now just somthing to take into consideration.

The vote was too close to decide between Michael Vick and Philip Rivers. So this poll will determine the winner.

1. Peyton Manning

2. Carson Palmer

3. Tom Brady

4. Drew Brees

5. Donovan McNabb

6. Matt Hasselbeck

7. Philip Rivers

8. Mike Vick

Romo or Roeth. Went with Romo, but should go with Roeth given his proven history. He's having bad luck season. Before this year, his numbers have been hall of fame-ish. He could be like Brady. A great NFL QB that turns into a very good fantasy QB. Ward, Washington, Holmes, and Miller give him a nice set of pass-catchers. FWP is nice back with good hands. The guys have another year together. The OL should improve. If Cowher retires, then the OC should take over, and he's a creative guy that will throw. Roeth is incredible because he can get 200 yds, and 2 tds with only 10 completions. The reason he slips down to the 6-12 range is that he doesn't get to throw 30 times.

Yeah I think this poll is flawed without Vince on the list right now b/c I think there is a good chance he is the #9 qb

How are you guys voting for Romo after just 6 games? What has he done to deserve or prove to you that he should be ranked this high?

Not only would I vote for Eli here but I'd probably put him in the 5 or 6 spot. A couple of bad games sure make people overreact. To vote Phillip Rivers in before Eli is crazy. I love Rivers' skills but in that offense there is no way I'd take Rivers top ten in a dynasty league.

I like Leinart here. Once he gets a line in front of him, the weapons are there.

Vince should definitely be added for the next one (I like Eli/Vince and Bulger for my next group to look at.

Results:

Tony Romo [ 18 ] ** [20.93%]

Marc Bulger [ 12 ] ** [13.95%]

Eli Manning [ 24 ] ** [27.91%]

Ben Roethlisberger [ 7 ] ** [8.14%]

Alex Smith [ 3 ] ** [3.49%]

Matt Leinart [ 22 ] ** [25.58%]

EManning wins. Please suggest a player the round before you'd vote for him so this doesn't happen too often.
