Dynasty question (1 Viewer)

Would love some input on a possible Dynasty Pickup. I'm hanging on, barely, for a spot in the playoffs. While that is going on I need to keep an eye out for potential players available in our league. Specifically, I'm looking at Michael Wilson, Arizona. I'm thinking about picking him up as a stash for the future and dropping one of my kickers (Butker or Folk). Does anyone think this is a good move and if so which kicker would you drop?

I'm in a dynasty with a LARGE bench. It's a 16 teamer and ALL the starting kickers are taken. The only reason I was able to pick one up is because Fairbarin is hurt (I have Aubrey who was bye last week) Alot of teams have 2-3, one guy even has 7!

it's normal for the most part. FGs >40 are 3 pts and <40 is 4 points so unlike yahoo standard which has 5 for 50+ it's been nerfed a bit. I think that in both this league and the ones that still use kickers they are still pretty valuable. Just 2 FGs are 6 points unless you are nerfing them.

Initial take, there HAS to be a higher upside stash available for your dynasty roster than M. Wilson. Maybe a backup or #3 rb that would be interesting if the starter gets injured? Benefit of the doubt, you're in a super deep league and Wilson really is the highest ceiling player on the wire, then Yes, do it unless you're in a really weird league where only the five worst kickers in the league are available.

Dynasty teams carrying multiple kickers past a bye week is generally my tell for teams that don't know what they're doing.

I have always thought Wilson was a good WR but just never utilized. When he came out I drafted him and gave him a 3 yr contract as I liked his skill set. Arizona just killed his value. It was nice to see him finally get targets and show what he can do. Unfortunately, it was probably just a one off game as far as target volume but maybe he will get more trust now and can build on it.

LOL, apologies for my horses*** take. I just remembered posting this after reading Joe's newsletter and came here for the self-own, but ya rightly called me out first.

I always got the okay, but not great vibe. Some analysts liked him a little bit coming out. He got mid draft capital end of round 3. Splashed early in his rookie year, but it felt like the lack of depth in the receiving core was a big part of it. When he didn't build upon it in '24, it was easy to write him off as being anything more than depth filler for fantasy. It feels like he has been around longer than he has, but Year 3 used to be the year for WRs, so it's not nearly as bad of a stash as I represented last week. I play in a league where I can only start 3 WRs in any given week, so I tend to skew hard towards ceiling at WR. In a league where all teams are rolling out 4 WRs every week, the value of a guy like Wilson in his role makes a lot more sense.

While I don't know how many 450-yard Brissett games will be there in the future with MHJ out of the lineup, I also need to consider the levels of toxicity Kyler Murray might have been bringing to this whole operation.
