Dynasty Rankings for 2007 Rookies Draft (1 Viewer)

Lynch should be considered at 1.01 given the crapass situations the other 2 are in.
 Let me guess, you have 1.03 :topcat:Minny's line is excellent. CJ will be in a Mike Martz offense with a legit WR1 so he won't get double coverage.
Actually I traded for the 1.01. If I based on strictly talent alone AD would be the no brainer pick. The problem is unlike LT, LJ, Jackson and most other rookie rb's he has been injured a lot. And breaking a collar bone twice in a season is not a great omen. I think early on Lynch clearly has the best situation. I think CJ's stock drops off some being next to Roy W. If he landed in a situation as the only stud wr on his team I think his #'s would be some what better and more consistent. All 3 players have pro's and cons but for anyone to say that Peterson is the only logical pick at 1.01 isn't considering his injury history. He may be a stud and probably will be but guys like LT, LJ and others didn't have anywhere near the amount of injuries he's had so early on. If people want to ignore that then fine but to me it weighs into my decision who to take at 1.01. I wouldn't be shocked if AD didn't end up having the best career of the class because of injuries. It is a risk you inherit and everyone can determine to what extent they view the risk. From past history which is all we can base things on at this point it is more of a risk than the other two players in his tier. The ? is does his talent outweigh the added risk? For most people it does but to say someone is an idiot for not taking the no-brainer #1 talent isn't true when you look at the total picture. I think all 3 players are comparable but the rb position does usually carry more value.

Meachum is way too low IMO. I have him as the #2 WR as NO seems like a perfect spot for a WR to put up big numbers. Good QB, good offense and an opening to start right away.
Could be, but there's a lot of competition for catches right now - Bush, Colston, Copper, Devery Henderson...

Injuries may be a concern, but all reports are that he rushed back early. I'd also take Minny's dominant line over the Bills' any day. Chester Taylor is not all that special and he produced excellent numbers last year. In fact, look at some of the other backs who have been productive over the past few years there. They've also added a lot of talent for a young QB, and you know it's going to be run-heavy to take pressure off him even with the 2 backs.Plus, as many others have already said, talent and potential should be the key point in dynasty. Situations can change drastically from year to year in this league.

Again, I disagree here. In a Mike Martz offense, ?s at RB, and a true WR1 to draw coverage, this could be a great opportunity for him. If anything, he's going to be drawing CB2 coverage - I'll take my chances with that.

I'm not saying AD must be 1.01 - I'm saying Lynch shouldn't be. That's all.

My thoughts on IDPsJ. Anderson should be higher than A. Carriker. L. Timmons is too high. J. Beason is too low. He will challenge P. Willis for #1 fantasy LB based on situation.L. Landry should be SS not FS. S. Taylor is better in coverage.J. Moss probably too low.
Moss I think wont be a 3-down guys because he cant handle the run. Timmons I think will start from day 1.Anderson I think might take longer to start than Carriker.
I think Moss has the ability to be more than a 2 down guy, but that is debatable. His run support skills need to improve so he can increase those tackle numbers. But should start from day one, so that raises value.Timmons is to small IMO to last as an every down OLB in a 3-4. He will be used like J. Porter was in Pit I believe and Porter just wasn't that valuable. A sack every now and then and mediocre tackle numbers. If Pit transfers to 4-3 then his value goes up as a WLB.J. Anderson will start from day one. There is noone there that will challenge him. A. Carriker, although a great player, is lining up in a 3-4 defense. That degrades his value. J. Anderson will be alot more valuable than A. Carriker. Especially in EFS scoring system. He will produce a good misture of tackle numbers with a sack every now and then.
A few clarifications. The Broncos have said that Moss will start as a situational rusher on second and long and third downs. It's still unclear, but Timmons is apparently going to see time both inside and outside in the 3-4. Jamaal Anderson has already been named the likely starter by the Atlanta coaches. While Jim Haslett has a 3-4 background, the Rams will only rarely, if at all, line up in a 3-4 this year. James Hall and Leonard Little are their best pass rushers and are not fits at rush LB. Carriker is going to play the three-technique for the most part.
Thanks JB. Always can count on you!How would you rank these guys right now? I really think J. Anderson is the better DL men as he will provide tackles as well as sacks. G. Adams seems more of a sack guy that will rarley get tackles. I really don't think Timmons is going to be all that great unless the transfer to a 4-3 T2....in a 3-4 I see him in Porters old role...J. Moss is the big ? for me. I think he has the ability to play all 3 downs, but will need to work on his run support...I really like Beason as one of the top guys this year, with Willis probably the better overall future prospect.
Still working on some preliminary stuff. Would really like to see some mini-camp information on a few situations before I fully commit.I think I'm going to put Anderson ahead of Adams for the reasons you mentioned. It's close, though, as Adams could probably make a bunch of plays in pursuit like a Robert Mathis. You'd probably flip them in sack heavy leagues. Both should be good.Timmons is tough to read. I think it'll be a mix of Woodley, Haggans and Harrison outside. It won't surprise me to hear that Timmons will be used inside at RILB a fair amount. Beason's value is tied to Morgan. He'll be solid regardless but would be a monster in the middle. Willis has to land at LILB and the defensive line needs to come together to have big value in SF. Both of which are very possible though.Hopefully, we'll have some stuff up before the end of the week. We're all banging away at player and team profiles as well in anticipation of the site opening soon.

I think once rookie camps start it will be clearer who will be starting or possibly could start. I dont see alot of offensive depth this year. If your league has IDP there is some good depth when the offensive players dry up.

:2cents: I dont see anyone else's ranking. No one else has an option or just waiting for other people to post.
I've mocked the first 18 picks in my league because I own the 18th pick, but I just don't see much difference between the #4 and the #18 pick this year in IDP. I mean, Brandon Jackson is in a good situation, and Russell was the #1 overall pick for a reason, but I'm just not convinced that they're that much (if at all) better than Brady Quinn and Patrick Willis who I have at 17 and 18. It may be perception and not reality, but these picks seem interchangeable.
