These are consensus dynasty rankings for year 2007 standard FBGs scoring no PPR

If you vote other, please specify.

Also, please comment on your vote, and list any player that should be nominated for the next round.

I like the chatter going on so lets keep that going as we vote. Discussion about why you prefer one of these players compared to the others is useful to everyone involved and offers insight into how people in your leagues may view these players compared to others.

gheemony made a great point about one way to consider dynasty value for players in rankings by giving 50% value to 2007, 33% to 2008, and 17% to 2009. I know there are many ways to look at this and how hard it is to project for players even for one year. But I think it is significant enough that its worth mentioning. I am sure everyone has a different formula that they might use. But this one to me has some good balance and makes a lot of sense. And now has become a topic of discussion in this thread: http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index...howtopic=296123 I welcome you all to read this and offer your perspectives on methods you use in determining where to rank players in dynasty leagues.

I was a bit surprised Jordan was still on the board as well. He received my vote. Not that I am thinking he will post numbers close to what he did in 2005, but I think he is probably a decent RB2 in most leagues; going forward.

Alright, I give up. Who's Domanick Williams?
Used to be Dom Davis. Probably done career-wise but if he ever did get back to full health he could easily be top 10-15.I voted Jordan on this one.
What happened, he got married and took her name? How forward-thinking of him. :goodposting: I think I went with Jordan too. I can understand not wanting Jordan, coming off injury, and playing for the Raiders, but bear in mind, he is due a roster bonus in March, there's a good chance he hits the market and ends up in a better situation.

Julius Jones numbers have pretty much peaked at around 140 fantasy points. He's barely startable. I'd rather take my chances on a guy like Jacobs, who could conceivably put up big numbers.

I'm not sure if Jacobs will be the answer. He has never carried the ball more than 11 timesin one game for his career. I think he will be sharing the load with someone in 2007.

I went with Julius reluctantly. He is still young. Jordan will be 29 this year. His ypc was the same in 2005 as 2006, just not as many carries, catches, or TDs. Who knows going forward. Julius looks to be better, imo, going forward.

Maybe, maybe not. But in Jones you know you're only getting a borderline starter.

Interesting to see 6 of the top 20 backs are 2006 rookies.

6. Frank Gore 5/14/1983

9t. Reggie Bush 3/2/1985

12. Laurence Maroney 2/5/1985

13. Joseph Addai 5/3/1983

16. Maurice Jones-Drew 3/23/1985

20. DeAngelo Williams 4/25/1983

a pretty impressive class. Add Norwood at 27, AD and Lynch and that's 8 of the top 27. Goes to show we value youth highly.

JJones and Jacobs are an interesting comparison. One gets pulled at the goal line, one gets put in.One has an opportunity to start for the first time, the other may lose his starting job.The one who played behind a smaller RB caught more passes than the guy who played in front of a bigger one.

:hot: they'll either draft a RB, or pay thru the nose for a guy like Michael Turner..but Jacobs is a complement to another RB, not the main guy.
