Also, please comment on your vote, and list any player that should be nominated for the next round.

Let's keep the chatter going on as we vote. Discussion about why you prefer one of these players compared to the others is useful to everyone involved and offers insight into how people in your leagues may view these players compared to others.

Please comment on your vote and nominate anyone else you think should be added to the next poll.

I'm thinking of adding every one of Reuben Droughns, Leon Washington, DeShaun Foster, Musa Smith, and Dominic Rhodes to the next poll, after that waiting a while before adding anyone else. How does that sound?

I know it was a lot of work to do this list... but I'd very interested to see where some of these rankings would be now that Free-Agency has passed. For example, I find it hard to believe that Rudi, Westbrook, KJ & R Brown rank higher than McGahee! Even if he were still in Buffalo... McGahee has more upside & more youth than all but KJ. KJ hasn't put together a solid season yet, and he may possibly be out most or all of 2007 (aka DD). Ronnie Brown is the same age, and his most-productive season was playing 2nd-fiddle to MaryJane Williams.

I realize a lot of people are down on McGahee after a lackluster season.. but let's not forget he was playing on a team with essentially a rookie QB, and a bad offensive line. I think after this year in Baltimore he'll be in the top-5 rankings on this list at the end of next season.

I also think T Henry will fly up the boards playing in Denver, and being the clear #1 there. He's ony 28, and 29 by mid-season next year. He should have a good 3-4 years left in the NFL... especially if he stays healthy in Denver.

Just my

I stopped working on these for two related reasons:

1. There were too many news and speculative posts about free agency on the front page that were getting too much attention. These polls were getting no responses and few new votes.

2. There were too many huge changes in value happening daily, and it was clear that many of the previous rankings had changed quite a bit. Also, any of the new players up for vote had varying value based on the day someone looked at the poll and sometimes even the time. Any attempts at further polls was just going to be frustrating for the people running them and the voters.

Clearly a new set of polls needs to be done, and I believe the plan is to start them after the NFL Draft. In the meantime, I think Biabreakable might have something related to this planned for the boards. I don't know how busy he is though, so I'm not sure if his plans have changed.

On the other hand, there is plenty of time left before the NFL Draft, and free agency has slowed down quite a bit. Potentially we could start a new set of polls now and make quite a bit of progress before the draft. However, there are still a decent amount of trades, signings, and rumors every day to disrupt the flow of the polls, as evidenced by the Schaub trade today. I think it might be interesting to see where the values lie in this interim time between free agency and the Draft, but I'm not sure if I want to go through the hassle of running these at this moment. I'll always be willing if there is demand though.

I'd like to know what other people think about this, especially the other people who have worked on these polls. Do you want a new set of polls now, or should we wait? Any other comments are also appreciated.

As a McGahee owner, I'd deal him for Westbrook fairly quickly. Also for Rudi. KJ depends on the injury, and Brown is basically worth the same. The rank looks about right IMO.
