Dynasty SF QB roster strategy Q (1 Viewer)

Hurl Bruce

Footballguy
12 team, Superflex league with 25 man rosters.

I have Lamar Jackson, Bo Nix, and Brock Purdy as my only current rostered QBs after Derek Carr retired.

Theses are the following players for our first waiver run:
  • Minshew
  • Mullens
  • McKee
  • Trubisky
  • Trask
  • Heinecke
  • Mills
Do I just grab the best one(s) here (if so, how would you rank these guys against each other)? Do I trade for the backup(s) for my starters (Rush, Stidham, Mac Jones)? Try to trade for a guy with an actual future as a starter?

I don't worry about getting a 4th QB. It's SF and you have three quality starters. No need for a 4th QB. I would much rather use that roster spot on RB or WR dart throws with what you already have at QB.

If you are set on getting a 4th QB then I would take a high upside shot and none of those listed fits the bill.

Ok, so then that leads me to this:

This is my first post-rookie draft FA waiver wire run in Dynasty. Our rookie draft was 5 rounds.

How much out of a $100 budget to rookie FAs go for?

Guys I am targeting for my taxi squad:

Isaiah Bond
Chimere Dike
Dont'e Thornton
Donovan Edwards
Kyle McCord

Currently, I don't have any guys that will be on a taxi squad due to trades, so I need to find 3 guys to stash.

I wouldn't spend more than $1-$3 on those guys. Is it a blind bid process or a normal bidding auction process?

If it's a blind bid I would mostly bid $1 unless there is a guy you are really high on and then I would bid $2. In my leagues most guys bid $1 on these type players so by bidding two on the guys I really like I am usually above. Occasionally I will go $3 just to make sure I outbid someone that might be higher than most on a guy.

Not knowing your league mates makes it difficult to really know how people bid. It might be beneficial if you can get a look at the last few years bid log to see how the league usually treats these FA runs over the years. That would probably give you a great idea on what it will take to acquire any of these guys.

It's blind bid.

This is the second year for the league and first time bidding after a rookie draft.

I might knock my bids down a few bucks now.

You likely know your people better than I do so your bids may be find. Regardless remember these are the least likely guys to do anything. These are the guys nobody thought worthy enough to spend a draft pick on. You shouldn't expect much out of them so I wouldn't expect people to spend much on them because of that.
