DJax for me. I see him as a top 10 WR.
Good question. In my view, his production will likely take a marked hit... but he still should be a guy that goes for about 1000 and 5 for a couple more years.Interestingly, in a deep keeper league I participate in, I shopped Driver about 4 weeks ago and got minimal interest. A couple owners basically told me that they felt he was worthless. I understand his age and the Favre situation knock his value, but at the time he was around the #10 ranked WR in our league... now I think he is #4. He's been solid.Driver is a guy that is seems to be overlooked quite a bit. I wouldn't put him in the top 12 for dynasty purposes, but probably in the next group of 4-5.

this is where i would also wanna gamble on Calvin Johnson. Would i trade him straight up for any of these guys dynasty wise............ NO...he will be from a 1.01 to 1.03 rookie pick in dynasty rookie drafts and i was sitting here wondering should i trade him for Boldin...and although he doesnt play in the nfl yet, his Upside is off the charts compared to most of these wr's on left to choose from and alot chosen ahead of him. He could bust...sure but a prospect like him comes around once in awhile.

But since he isnt up there to vote for i will LEE EVANS, he has some Steve Smith qualities to him.

I vote Donald Driver, as well. The guy just posted his third straight 1000 yard season (and 4th in 5 seasons).

It's really true. Driver is by far the most underrated elite receiver in the NFL.

Doh!! :P But this was running so smoothly without me my sucky friend. As far as Johnson or any rookie Wr you have to consider they have a longer development period at Wr than other positions typicly do.I know that everyone has a different weighting for dynasty as far as how much value is placed on 2007 vs. 2008, 2009 ect. however I think it is important to take into account. For example when Steven Jackson was a rookie I did not have him ranked very high because Faulk was still part of the picture. And sure enough it has taken him until his 3rd year to really perform up to expectations. So it is somthing to consider with Wrs who typicly take longer to develop. And we also do not know what the rookies situations may be. What if Johnson gets drafted by the Raiders? Then he has no Qb/Oline and poor coaching against him and that could further slow down his development. Look at Andre Johnson with the Texans. It has taken him 4 years to really emerge as a force in FF and he is a GREAT Wr without a doubt and just as much a can't miss prospect like this Johnson seems to be.I am suprised some people are wary of Darrell Jackson. He is just entering the prime of his career. Wrs in ages 27-32 are typicly thier better seasons.Back to the rookie Wr issue. There has been a high bust rate of very good prospects such as Charles Rogers Mike Williams Reggie Williams ect. so that is somthing to consider also I think when opting for such an unknown over very good players who situations are much more predictable.

Would the voters for Driver specifically address Driver vs. DJax?

Pretty equal, but DJax is three years younger and has a very stable running and passing game heading into the future.

It's not like Driver's old. He'll be 32 at the start of next season. He also plays through pain, and has been rather durable. He's about to post his 3rd straight 1200 yard season. Jackson has never put up even one 1200 yard season.Jackson may be younger, but he's about to miss his 11th game (which will probably extend to 13) in the last two seasons. Driver has missed 4 since 1999.It comes down to consistency for me in fantasy football at the WR position. I honestly don't care just how "talented" Jackson might be or any other WR, for that matter. If he's not putting up the numbers to match Driver and isn't healthy enough to be in the lineup, then how does his "talent" help my fantasy team?I drafted Driver over Jackson this year. If I have the opportunity, I'll do it again next year. And, assuming Driver looks like he hasn't missed a beat, I imagine I'd do it the following year as well until he shows that he's slowing down. For all of the reasons above, Driver is the better choice than Jackson.

What if Favre retires? What happens to Drivers production then?I happen to think Favre will come back again next season because of the turnaround the Slack have had this year but that is not a sure thing..

I don't know, but that's not what I'd focus on in terms of the next year or two. We just don't know and if you keep underrating him assuming Favre is gone, then it will just end up hurting you when Favre comes back. And, even if Favre retires, Driver is still a very good receiver. Did Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt's numbers drop when Kurt Warner was ushered out? (Isaac's may have, but that was more because he became the #2 guy). What we do know is that it will have been 2 seasons since Jackson last had a 1000 yard season. It will have been 2 seasons since Jackson played 16 NFL games (or even 14 NFL games). And, I hope I'm not giving the impression that I don't think Jackson is a very good and productive receiver. I do. But, in next season's draft and until I am shown during the season otherwise, I will draft Driver ahead of Jackson 100% of the time. Like I said, I am more about consistency and experience, particularly at the WR position, than I am about what if's.So, to play the what if game with you. What if Jackson misses 3 or more games again next season (it will be the 3rd season in a row)? What if Jackson again fails to get 1000 yards, which would be his 3rd in a row (remember, Driver is about to get 1200 for the third season in a row)? What if that "stable running game" with Shaun Alexander (30 years old for the season opener) is no longer stable?I'm just not sure by what measure, other than age, anyone can say that Jackson is the better bet over Driver.Just give me some objective measure to judge them by where Jackson comes out on top or looks like he surpassing Driver or Driver is somehow falling so that we have a reason to put Jackson ahead of Driver.

:goodposting:GDogg Driver will certainly be on the next poll once Tick arrives at a conclushion to this one. I think you make some compelling points in favor of Driver for all voters to take into consideration.

I too would like to see Edwards on the list. I'd also like to see Stallworth, because for some unknown reason, I still believe he can become a difference maker.
