You can sim in Manager mode, but I wouldn't recommend it. Essentially, if you sim an away game, you're very likely to lose even if you have the superior team.
If you don't want to play games at all, just get Football Manager for the PC.

-Horrid, horrid team. Could easily make a team 10x better than that with the coins he has invested.
Larsson looks good. Might have to pick him up when the market crashes this weekend. <-That's a public service announcement for FUT players in here that don't know that everything is crashing Friday - Monday before team of the year is realeased.

Geordie is always a good watch.
I sort of feel his pain on the way the AI changes how your players play. Games in certain situations (last game to advance/win a division) are obviously weighted to favor one side or the other. There are the can't miss 90th minute goals. Etc, etc. We've all had them happen. Just part of the game I guess.

I only sim international matches, but they seem to go according to the script.

If I have a match on the last day of the month I sim it so I can control my player growths better. I always have a couple saves going for the first day of the month to get my player growths the way I prefer them. You get completely different growths randomly. I like to roll that die a few times to get the most out of it.

Is there a way to change the music? My son loves it, but I'm sick of the whole playlist.
Full into FUT and Manager mode now, but suck at both. For the FUT team, I just manage the team - players, contracts, fitness, training - while my son plays the games, all offline for now. We are terrible playing together for some reason, much better playing on our own. I will gladly accept any and all tips to make coins trading. I've built a team with 100 chemistry mostly by using spanish players in the EPL, I'd like to become more of a deal maker and teach my son a bit about market economics, but can't really get the hang of it.

I have a nice transfer budget, found and bought a decent player who would help me, but then realized I don't have nearly the wage budget to sign him? Odd. I can't figure out what my scouts are doing, how to find and buy better players.
It seems the Futwiz and other PC-based trading sources are not live to the transfer market anymore, right?

Need to vent here. I freaking hate the manager mode in this game. I don't know why EA is so set on the idea that fans would rather play as some fictional manager than as our favorite team. Is it too much to ask to let us play a career as our favorite club team and/or favorite international team?
Instead, the international team is basically impossible/luck. I want to play as the USA and have never gotten a job offer from them. So dumb that I can't just play a career as the freaking US international team.
Club teams are nearly as bad because you have to play the game on easy to keep your job. One of the things I like about FIFA over Madden is that there are difficulty settings that are actually pretty even/realistic (compared to Madden where you're either going to go 16-0 or 0-16 every year depending on the difficulty). Sadly, that'll get you fired, completely unrealistically. I was doing a career as RSL who's goal was to reach the semi-finals in the MLS Cup. I won the cup my first year and was in 4th place in the tables 10 games into my 2nd year and got fired. No way to un-do it. 50+ games and 4+ months of real life time down the drain. So freaking dumb.
I'm not buying another FIFA until they fix this garbage.

I think changing the music is based on your system. On xbox you can load your own music. I've never messed with it though. I always play on mute and put on my music through my receiver or listen to podcasts/tv while I play
I hate the scout system. I do my own scouting on sofia.com You can see player's growth potential there. After you are a few years in you can scout specific players and compare them to their starting stats on the website to see if they are actually growing. If they aren't growing, they probably won't grow. During the big transfer window blocks without games I'll sometimes just buy a player and check his stats, write them down, back out of the game without saving, and do it again for another guy I wanted to compare him with. If I want to check on a lot of players I'll even take whatever offers I get for my guys to build my budget for these faux transfers. If I get a guy on a bargain sometimes I'll create an alternate save game so I lock him in. It can fluctuate by 5mil on how much a team will take for a guy. It can also be random if the player even accepts your contract. If he doesn't, just don't save and load it up again. Doesn't always work, but sometimes it does. And if I'm just listening to podcasts, I don't mind trying again. I can do it on auto pilot now. Key is, don't "continue career" you need to go to the "load career" and pick the save you want to play from.

You can change which song is playing by pressing select. No idea on loading new music.
Trading is tough right now without the web app. I traded kits and badges up until toty. I bought everything I wanted with the 5 mil I earned up to that point. You can go on the forums to find some other methods. Inform method being the most popular. All the sites such as futwiz run off the web app, so if that is down, the prices are not updated.

FUTDB.Net is pretty good with the webapp down. It's taken all the fun out of trading for me, because when I get on my console, I'm playing. I did all my trading on the app.Battles said:

Since I just kicked off my 4th season with Fulham, here are some comments on the above career manager concerns:
- I find the difficulty of games very well balances. I play on world class and most games are very close.
- I really like the Fifa soundtrack, but often play music or podcasts during menu and games.
- Agree with Sebowski that sofifa is how I do a lot of scouting. This site is awesome too. After a couple of seasons, it is easier to get the scouts to focus in on the particular area you hope to improve.
- In all years of the game, I just keep rejecting international offers until the US comes up. If you are playing in a lower league, it may be difficult to get the rep needed for a higher offer like the US.
- Why is Chelsea always so ####### good in these careers? In my current save they have Diego Costa, Benzama, and Lewandowski as strikers. ####.

I also use International offers to scout players. If I get offered a team with players I'm curious about, I'll take the job, check their stats, then back out without saving. You can also aim for jobs you want this way. Most days when you get an offer, that day will be your offer day, so if you don't like it, back out without saving. Load up, and they will offer you a different gig.

I'd counter attack your right side till my guys puked. A full side of high attacking players. I'd be interested to see how it played. Not sure I could keep the sweat from outscoring me though.

7 chem, and what do you not understand?
EDIT: I understand he's a LF, but I love him and Sanchez, so I wanted them both. He's got a 5 star weak foot, so I prefer him playing there instead of Alexis. Plus you can't tell a difference between 10 and 7 chem IMO, and many many others.

I mostly play offline. Definitely not great on defense but Toure and Pogba cover a lot of it, plus I'm rely a lot on possession.

FUT and especially trading are officially dead. Fixed price ranges for players. Good game EA. Good game.
With the amount of coins on the market I don't see how legends aren't auto maxed out.
Looks like I only lost around 150k on the Larsson I bought yesterday if i get the max back. I lost 250k+ on the IF Vidal I decided not to sell. Overall on my 7 legends I probably lost 1-1.5 million. Fun.

The FUT price changes really suck. Not sure what to do going forward.
I'm rolling some pretty fun teams, but I've also been pretty frustrated too. I have played a lot with MLS teams because I like supporting MLS, but this weekend's tourney I was losing to people playing Villa at CM w/ Giovinco and Martins up front, just spamming lofted through balls.
Maybe I'll just play Seasons, I hear the gameplay is better over there as well.

I tried the MLS tourney online 4-5 times and gave up. Usually ended up losing in the second round to teams with full gold attribute cards. I was losing more coins by playing than I'd ever get back by winning. 2000 coins and a pack to play that miserable tourney wasn't close to worth it. Ended up making 300k on my mls players and that helped me afford Larsson.
I'm just going to play with the teams I have. I bought pretty much everything I wanted during toty. No point in trying to trade now.
No idea why they wouldn't wait till FIFA 16 to start this. I'd rather just have them do the market like last year's world cup. Pack only. No market. Get a packs for playing. Gold pack for win and a silver for a loss. Special packs for tournaments. Problem with all that is EA don't make $$$$$$$.

Just like my idea with the WC format, the problem with most of this is that it makes EA less money. They are hoping what they did today will make people desperate in order to get coins and buy points.
I hope CletiusMaximus got to teach his kid the free market before today, because he can now teach him about a socialist market.

Computer trading (autobuyers) and coins were related. The coin sellers would use autobuyers to snatch up players listed too low and relist for profit and would also use the quick sell method of buying a non rare gold 75 rated CB w/ 45 pace for 250 then just discard it for 300 coins, making a profit of 50 coins. Doing that a few million times will make coins that are then sold to coin buyers.
All of this created horrible inflation. So they put in caps to remove the inflation.
But its crippled a player like myself, I've never bought coins and before the caps I had a club value of 13+mil. I trade a lot. My club value and most of my trading profit is gone now.
Here's a quick example, I bought a 86 rated Neymar in December for 5-600k (can't remember now). I was thinking of flipping him into his upgraded 87 card. But now 86 Neymar is capped at 250k, it was selling over 500k last weekend. 87 Neymar is capped at 750k, which isn't far from what it was over the weekend. So now I'm 500k short of 87 Neymar.
Oh and all my St Paddy's investments won't pay off this week either.
I love FUT but I seriously think I'm done. I can't decide if I should just dump all my players or what. I'm sitting in Div 2 online and nearing promotion to Div 1 for the first time ever but I don't know if I will ever play again. The gameplay online has been crap for a while, but I've learned to deal with it (no I don't just spam lofted through balls). However the end of trading for me is the death nail for FUT.

Glitching coins was the worst problem. People had hacked the system to basically make coins out of thin air. From what I can gather, they fooled the system into thinking they were playing games over and over when they weren't. They were easily making six figures selling coins. You could go on ebay and see 2000 purchases of 1 mil coins for $10 on multiple accounts.
I'm with you. Never bought coins, but traded my way to 6 million before TOTY. Bought Larsson on Sunday for 1.05 and is around 700k now. While I bought my legends cheaper than the bands, I still lost a few million of of where they were.
I thought guys that dropped below their price for the max would sell for the max. Not even close. Everything is going for minimums. If that's the case, no profit can be made. They'll also continue drop the bands a things don't sell.
I'll play with the teams I have once they fix the disconnect problems. May be never though. I will not buy FIFA 16 with this format. I think a lot of people will stay with 15.
