EA Sports Fantasy Football Live Draft Tracker, (1 Viewer)

http://fantasy.easports.com/reports/news/e...elcome_back.asp

Welcome Back, Fantasy Football Fans!

There are a lot of exciting changes at FANTASY.EASPORTS.COM this year including an updated website, new features that connect your fantasy leagues and teams to the Xbox360™ and PLAYSTATION®3 and for the first time, users will be able to take their fantasy football teams and play with them in MADDEN NFL 09!

EA SPORTS™ Fantasy Football Live Draft Tracker

For leagues that have offline draft parties where all of the owners are together, those league commissioners can download the EA SPORTS Live Draft Tracker via Xbox Live or PLAYSTATION Network. The Live Draft Tracker imports league and team information from the website, tracks the draft, and then uploads completed draft results back to the website saving the commish a lot of time and effort. Live Draft Tracker is packed with EA Expert analysis on the top players in the draft and highlight videos from Madden NFL 09. The days of the paper draft board are over!

Play your fantasy football teams in Madden NFL 09!

Did you draft the best team out of your league and want to prove it to your friends? By importing your team into Madden NFL 09 you can do just that. Take your virtual fantasy team onto the field and play across the country, online in unranked matches as well as in Play Now and Franchise Modes.

Live Score Tracker

One of the coolest innovations in fantasy football will be the EA SPORTS Fantasy Football Live Score Tracker. Also available for download via Xbox LIVE Arcade and PLAYSTATION Network, the Live Score Tracker will allow you to view up-to-the-minute live scores of your league and teams while you watch the games every week via your TV’s Picture in Picture capability. You no longer need to run to the PC every 10 minutes to check the scores! Want to see other matchups in your league? Simply switch to our full screen version and see the current leaderboards, standings, and scoring for your league. Don’t have a television with PIP functionality? No problem, by using your remote control and switching inputs to your game system, you can still view live scoring with the press of a button. Expect more details about the Live Score Tracker soon!

To me it looks like it would be tough to keep up with the picks if the draft was moving at any reasonable pace.

Get it Its worth it!!! just turn off the commentary and you will be fine the comments get annoying but other than that the system is sick. but if you have a auction draft it does not support it.

I saw this on my PS3 last night, and thought about using it for our draft Sunday. Anyone use it yet? What are the pros and cons?
Hey Guys...I tried using the new EA Sports Fantasy Football Live Draft using my xbox 360 and I get the error "unable to download the leagues from the website". would anyone have any suggestions?

if you want to use it you need to create a dummy league on ea sports fantasy just make sure to put how many rounds and teams in and then when you go on ea sports draft program just enter your login and it will load your settings

I found this to be unusable for my league.

Problems:

It saves the draft to the hard drive after every pick, which takes approximately 12-15 seconds. During that time everyone is staring at a "Saving to hard drive, don't shut off your PS3, blah, blah, blah" dialog box.

The commentary for Addai mentions that the owner should take his backup as a late pick. WTF? Should a tool like this be giving draft advice?

The screen for choosing players shows them ranked. Good for choosing the next player. Bad for reminding less prepared owners who the next best available player is. Again, it shouldn't be giving out free help.

The idea is very cool, but between the slow saves and the unsolicited advice I don't think I can use it. Maybe next year.

I have created a league and set the appropriate number of rounds and teams it seems to login to the site and then I get the error message...confused!

I sure didn't find a way to do turn off the file saves. Maybe the Xbox version is different from the PS3? From what I found you can toggle the way players are listed, but every time you come back to the list it reverts to the ranked format.I did find that you can turn off the commentary, doing so by lowering the volume setting. But this also removed the "The second pick of the second round, Ryan Grant" announcer, which I kind of liked.I'd love for someone to show me I'm wrong, especially if they can do so before Sunday.

I have both a PS3 and 360 and we're having our local draft here at my house in a couple of weeks. We DL'd the PS3 version and I think it's pretty cool. Granted, some of the commentary shouldn't be in there that is in there, but other than that, I didn't find the save times excessive. I would like to know if you can permanently make it so that the names are listed alphabetically as well...

Let me know if anyone figures out how to do that. Thanks!

These are the exact two reasons I decided against using it. Too bad, since it's a really cool idea. Maybe I'll send some feedback to EA.
