Eagles WR (1 Viewer)

i know there's a Foles thread going on, but most of the discussion is about Vick either being the problem or the solution to the Eagles woes...

my question: given what looks like a good schedule here on out:

@ New Orleans

vs. Dallas

@ Washington

vs. Carolina

@ Dallas

@ Tampa Bay

vs. Cincinatti

vs. Washington

@ Giants

what do expect from Desean and Maclin. i worry that with a rookie QB, we see McCoy be the focal point. but, the offense still has to keep the safeties honest and go deep where the eagles WRs have earned their FF stock.

McCoy will definitely be the focal point. Expect 20-25 carries for him with another 5-10 targets out of the back field. However, I think that improves Maclin and Desean. Maybe not both at the same time but the odds of them being open with a real running threat increase. There will be a lot of 7 and 8 in the box to stop the run leaving one or both with single coverage a lot of the time. All depends on how well Foles can get it to them.

I personally think Djax/Maclin will start putting up WR2 numbers pretty consistently because of the schedule... and that's even if Foles is the starting QB.

If they go to Foles, which I don't think they will, Maclin and Jackson become unstartable.

DJax and Foles looked pretty good together in week 2 preseason (Yeah, only preseason). Can't be much worse than what they're currently getting fed thanks to the oline.

Could not disagree more with this. Like was said up above if Reid has any common sense left he'll use McCoy to settle in Folese so that is great for McCoy owners but I think this opens up big pass plays down the field for DJax and Maclin. Not to mention it's Andy Reid, he'll probably still throw the ball anyways.

I see this as a boost to Maclin in PPR leagues. Young QBs underneath routes.
