Eckler in 5th or Godwin in 10th (1 Viewer)

I'm in a 10 team league with 1/2 point PPR.

RB/WR =  5 pts for every 50 yards

RB/WR =  10 pts for every 100 yards

Plus various bonus point totals for length of TD.

I have an option of Austin Eckler in the 5th or Chris Godwin in the 10th.

If I had insider information that Melvin Gordon was certain to not be on the roster this year, or maybe not even sign until let's say week 6, I would be keeping Eckler.

However if you had to draft today, knowing what you know about the Chargers situation, would you keep Eckler or Godwin?

Depends on what kind of gambler you are.  Godwin is a pretty good deal in the 10th.  If Gordon doesn't play Ekeler is at worst a viable RB2.

I'd probably keep Godwin personally.  I would say that if you do keep Ekeler, it would be smart to grab Gordon as well.  The positive is that you are guaranteed one of them is starting.  The negative is that you are spending two draft picks on one running back in the first five rounds.

For what it's worth, Godwin's ADP is currently at 60 which makes a tenth rounder a deal.  Ekeler is currently running at 93. (according to Draft Dominator)

Keep Godwin.  You can probably still grab Ekeler in the fifth if you really want him or possibly later.

If I have to choose today I keep Godwin.  I don't want to be stuck with Ekeler in the 5th round and have him be a handcuff if Gordon comes back.  Not worth the risk to me.  If I can wait and get more information then Ekeler comes into focus.  If Gordon is out for a long time I take Ekeler.
