Edwards is a solid guy. If the Democrats had a Tea Party type movement, they’d call Edwards a DINO. Pro life, pro 2nd Amendment, pro military, rural background, etc.

Oh, that’s a real effect. If the home college football team gets a big win close to the election, the incumbent gets a slight boost. Edwards owes Coach O a drink.

Haven’t went and looked up exact numbers ... but I estimate that about 75,000 - 100,000 2016 Trump voters inLouisiana voted for Edwards this year.

Trump’s lock over conservative voters is significant, but somewhat exaggerated IMHO.

Another DINO example: Edwards campaign headquarters has a Catholic priest praying and speaking to the crowd right now. Pro religion too.
