I'm starting to wonder why they havent been turned off.  Maybe one of the new board software's "wonderful" new features is the inability to turn them off.

Of course this is why. They're waiting for ipb to come up with a fix. Should be just a few more days. Just like how fast they fixed search. 

They're probably the only customers of IPB who dont want images so they have to do something custom.  Seriously, like every other board has pictures.

Some images dont show up even through drag/drop.  I havent figured out if it's image type, or size or what makes the difference.

I've used the drag/drop of the link to a pic/video. For pics of mine, I found I needed to put them somewhere online, so I could get the link to the picture.

I would think when faced with an aging demographic a business might want to embrace something that would appeal to a younger audience.  Getting rid of embedded images and videos is the equivalent of CBS trying to combat declining ratings by bringing back Murder She Wrote and Quincy, MD

Since it seems they can't or won't allow users to customize any aspects of their forum experience, it has to be shut off.

Just give people the ability to turn off embedded images. I've never seen, in any forum I frequent, fewer options for individual customization.

I don't think it's wise to browse the forums from your work computer regardless if inappropriate pics are posted or not. You could always use your phone if you are worried or just suck it up and incur the risk from using your work computer. The tradeoff for having a much more entertaining forum is well worth it.

Tried that first.  There's no code.  Just the pic.
