embedded pics and vids (1 Viewer)

And if it get's someone fired/reprimanded in the meantime?

Just give people the ability to turn off embedded images. I've never seen, in any forum I frequent, fewer options for individual customization.
Someone could post a #### as their profile pic and it would get people fired too.  Makes no sense to allow those but not images.

It's 2016.   Do you guys really think people are getting fired because some NSFW image popped up on a work computer?   You think IT departments/supervisors can't tell the difference between somebody looking at pron in the office and something like an embedded image of boobs showing up on a SFW messageboard?

Great so we are going to lose images but Scoresman mile long description that causes his post to be 10 times as big as they are will continue..

:pokey:

I wont keep it that way.  Just want a dev or admin to see it and posted in the Upgrade thread that they should probably put a limit on that field.

You could probably put an entire wikipedia article in there.

IT maybe. Manager over your shoulder, not a chance they can tell.

Tried downsizing the pic and it still didn't work.  I get it to paste in the replay box but it disappears after hitting submit.

All good points.

But irrelevant to my point of "Why not allow people to choose themselves if they want to see it"

I'm only suggesting they disable it entirely if they can't or won't let people make the call themselves, like other forums do.

Other forums also let you turn of avatars.

test from Safari...I had to type first.

ETA: Odd, it worked at first in the reply area, image disappeared when posting reply.

ETA: Did not work drag/drop from safari to FF, pasting from Safari to FF. Worked fine drag/drop from FF to FF. Weird. Just must be the cowbell.

I would think when faced with an aging demographic a business might want to embrace something that would appeal to a younger audience.  Getting rid of embedded images and videos is the equivalent of CBS trying to combat declining ratings by bringing back Murder She Wrote and Quincy, MD
Still trying to run this place like it's a church. It's hilarious.

I have 2 simple wishes:

  • Images get to stay.
  • People that don't like them can turn them off.
I'm a simple man.
