I think everyone would agree that things have gotten stale around here. The same threads, the same people arguing about the same things over and over. I would like it if every person here started one new thread next week. It doesn't matter what it is. Don't make it a throw away though. Take the weekend to think about it. Is there anything you want to discuss with people from all over the country who can offer opinions from different perspectives? Any great stories you want to share? Any questions about sex? We have a tremendous opportunity here to engage with people from different professions and different situations.

Also, maybe go outside your comfort zone when replying to these threads. Some guys only like to make jokes. Some guys like to engage seriously. Maybe next week you do stuff here you wouldn't normally do. Instead of being flippant you reply earnestly. Instead of being a jerk you act compassionately. Or maybe you reply with a picture or song instead of words. And so on. And so forth.

I would like to take this time to say that on Tuesday I will be starting a great thread about something that happened many years ago in a hardware store. I think it's more about drawing out the people who don't typically start threads. The same 5-10 guys start threads and mostly those threads are predictable and lack excitement. I want to hear from the guy who mostly reads and doesn't post. We hear mostly from the people who post abut don't read.
