Eric Trump Thread (1 Viewer)

Like that dumb thread that guy started that is about everything and nothing?  Yes, I ignore that piece of garbage but i don't take it step further by continually going into the thread and insulting the the OP by telling him how worthless, boring and a waste of time it is. That would be pointless.
And honestly, if I weren't an adolescent hall monitor, shouldn't I report you for calling my thread - the greatest, largest thread in FBG history, btw - dumb?  Is that what you would do?  Report a person for calling your thread "dumb"?

Dude, you can't let it go, can you?

Can this be the Official All Things Eric thread?  If so, I’m going to put this here, which is honestly one of the oddest winery ads I think I’ve ever seen:

https://youtu.be/5DqUg4_PVzA

WINE IS SEXY!!!  (He doubles back on the sexiness at the end of the clip as well.)

Of all the things I've had the displeasure to hear people complain about, the inability to hold rallies where a candidate lies to everyone seems especially frivolous.

Also...he did that almost daily during the worst of the virus...

That title seems a bit clunky to me, but per your request this has become the Eric Trump Thread so as to cover all things Eric.

It was a great day for the Dow , that’s what the stinking tweet was about. Not the death toll . The stinking DOW. THE DOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
On the same day that the 100,000 death mark threshold is crossed, Eric Trump is cheering about the Dow. No mention of the death toll - just the stinking DOW. THE DOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

New wave of US layoffs feared as coronavirus pain deepens

The Labor Department’s weekly jobless claims report on Thursday, the most timely data on the economy’s health, is also expected to show the number of people on jobless benefits hitting a new record high in mid-May.

The report is being watched to assess how quickly the economy rebounds after businesses shuttered in mid-March to control the spread of COVID-19 and almost ground the country to a halt. While non-essential businesses are starting to reopen, claims have stayed at astonishingly high levels.

“I am concerned that we are seeing a second round of private sector layoffs that, coupled with a rising number of public sector cut backs is driving up the number of people unemployed,” said Joel Naroff, chief economist at Naroff Economics in Holland, Pennsylvania.

“If that is the case, given the pace of reopening, we could be in for an extended period of extraordinary high unemployment. And that means the recovery will be slower and will take a lot longer.”

The number of people filing new claims for state unemployment benefits likely totaled a seasonally adjusted 2.1 million for the week ended May 23, down from 2.438 million the prior week, according to a Reuters survey of economists.
Based on the forecast, continuing claims increased roughly by 7.7 million between the April and May survey periods, suggesting a surge in the unemployment rate from last month’s post-World War Two record of 14.7%.

“Now is a good time to think how many of those people who lost their jobs are going to get them back, my sense is 25% will not and that’s what gives us the double digit unemployment rate well into 2021,” said Joe Brusuelas, chief economist at RSM in New York. “The bankruptcies of small and medium enterprises will result in a much higher rate of permanent layoffs.”
Yup, the economy is humming!

Eric Trump:  Democrats leveraging coronavirus to rob POTUS of campaign rallies

And that ain't all. He goes on to tell Jeanine Pirro on Fox that after Election Day, “Coronavirus will magically disappear” like it’s a hoax and everything will reopen.

https://twitter.com/Acyn/status/1261829390951788544 (video clip at link).

Thoughts?

How many people seriously believe that the COVID-19 related business state shutdowns and related stay-at-home or shelter-in-place orders are some sort of plan by Democrats to stop Trump from holding rallies?

(Note - I started this thread because I couldn't find one on Eric or the Trump kids and it didn't seem to fit in the existing Trump related threads IMO).
Yes and they convinced most of nations of the continent to shutdown their economies, cancel the olympics etc all as a ploy to stop Trump rallies cause you know if only the US had shutdown people would get suspicious. :wall:

Dude, why do you rub so many people the wrong way? I have read so many people complain about your posting style.
I dunno, I have no idea what set off the poster I was responding to who became unhinged because I started this thread and called me: a "troll," "a child," "obsessed" with this "garbage" and "asinine." After he responded to the same post twice with another attack, I made the apt observation that he just couldn't let it go.

About time someone figured out the vast conspiracy. Special props to Italy for their sacrifices.

Guarantee you that when that kid turns around 10, he’s gonna want to know the Antifa Code of Destruction, whatever that is.

He's not wrong.  :shrug:

Not seeing a problem here.

Factually he is wrong. The Pledge of Allegiance is taught and recited daily in NY schools, although participation is entirely voluntary.

https://www.nyclu.org/en/board-education-response-concerns-about-new-policy-recitation-pledge-allegiance-mirrors-nyclu

On Wednesday, October 17, 2001, The Board of Education unanimously adopted a resolution to require all public schools to lead students in the Pledge of Allegiance at the beginning of each school day and at all school-wide assemblies and school events.

[...]

Participation in the Pledge of Allegiance is entirely voluntary and no student or school employee shall be subject to discipline, retaliation, or ostracism for not participating. Teachers and other school staff should be attentive to potential adverse reactions and minimize their effects;

Students who choose not to participate shall be permitted to remain seated in the classroom and shall not be required to leave the room;

Students who choose not to participate must maintain a respectful silence during the Pledge. Any student who is disruptive during the Pledge shall be treated as you would any disruptive student during the school day;

Parents who feel their children have been subject to harassment, retaliation or discipline as a result of their failure to participate in the Pledge shall have the right to contact the Superintendent or Superintendent's representative for assistance.

[...]

What are the chances that Eric Trump is completely lying and neither he nor his kid say the pledge of allegiance nightly? 100% right?

Even if it were true, I kind of doubt his 4 year old actually understands what the words of the pledge of allegiance mean.

That's weird because I've been told that 4 year old's are old enough to make decisions about their gender and sexuality, so reciting the Pledge of Allegiance seems like something they would know about.

Actually you haven't been told that, but carry on.  :coffee:
