Ernie Sims to Colts (1 Viewer)

reported from many sources...

to compete for WLB spot...

sims does have a lot of detractors (questionable instincts, undisciplined, overpursues, inconsistent tackler, gets hurt a lot)... that said, he does seem like a system/scheme-fit, fitting profile of colts (legacy from dungy and tampa bay cover two, ie - derrick brooks) fast, undersized WLB...

It will be a touch decision ranking him with that many (and legit) negatives, but the Colts' WLBs have always put up strong numbers. A 35-40 ranking is not out of the question, although it may be a bit on the optimistic side. I doubt I could put him any higher.

I think Sims is as likely to be among the final cuts as start the season as the starting WLB. Maybe I was reading too much into things, but I thought the team liked Kavell Conner and seemed comfortable moving on from Clint Session for that reason. Little surprising that they may be rolling with Sims over Tyjuan Hagler, but I think it's great news for Pat Angerer's every-down prospects if that's the case.

So I should stay with Kavell Conner?
That's exactly what I would do. One of the few areas that Philly could improve on is their LB core. With that said, they let Sims walk without a second thought. Sims is just another player that couldn't translate his talent into production at the NFL level.
