ESPN Fantasy player designations: (1 Viewer)

Anyone who has their league run on ESPN has known their designations were screwy. Some players were DE/LB, some were DT/DE, CB/S, etc. Savvy owners were drafting Ware and Suggs, and listing them as DEs.

Glaing at the site, I have noticed they have closed the loophole for several players. Suggs and Ware are only listed as LB now. Like to get a list going of players that have been correctly designated, and perhaps a list of players that are still incorrect.

Terrell Suggs--Was a DE/LB in 08, now is a LB only.

Demarcus Ware--Same, now only a LB.

Thomas Davis---believe he is still listed as a S.

Madieu Williams--Still listted as a CB only.

Anyone else notice any changes?

Yes, I have def. noticed the changes and am now going to need to do some work since I had both Suggs and Ware as my DE.

I had questioned why Merriman didn't have the DE/LB tag in recent years but Ware did. I know Ware lines up on the line at times but Merriman does also I believe.

I am happy to see Davis still has his S eligibility though. I also put Mad Will on IR early to save him this season hoping ESPN would put him at Safety but looks like that won't happen.

Wondering if Tyrell Johnson is still listed at CB as well.

ESPN wise up? Not at all really.

From what i can tell, they got rid of the players who previously could play 2 positions and made it so they now can only play one. The sad thing is that it looks like they decide what position a player is for fantasy leagues depending on what position they played in college as opposed to the NFL.

That would somewhat explain why Madieu Williams is only a CB, Thomas Davis is only a S, Trent Cole is only a LB, LeMar Woodley is only a DE, and Calvin Pace is only a DE.

The ####ed up thing is that if you go to their ESPN player pages it says their correct position; like for Trent Cole it says DE, for Pace it says LB, for Davis it says LB, but for whatever reason ESPN's fantasy football is all messed up.
