Ever start 3 players from the same team (1 Viewer)

I was wondering if many here had started 3 players from the same team.

I have Big Ben, Mendenhall and Hines Ward. I left Ward on the bench this week because I did not want to start 3 from the same team. This is not a rant about the points that Ward earned on my bench. Rather I am curious if many people have found success around it.

Big Ben in this offense has been an every week starter and should be for most who have him.

Mendenhall is getting more carries. However, it is arguable as to whether that is going to last and I will leave it to the FWP v. Mendenhall thread to argue that.

Ward has made himself hard to bench. He is getting the targets from Ben and doing the most with them. Could easily be top 10 this year if his pace keeps up.

So, what say you. Have you started 3 players from the same team. If so, who were they and what was your success like?

Last season I started Brees, P. Thomas and Colston and it worked out very well. A guy in my league this year is starting McNabb, D. Jackson and Celek and doing pretty well.

Brady, Moss, Welker, and Gostkowski are regular starters for me in one league. This week clearly was a good one. But even normally, having the two top WRs on the team seems to help guarantee some points, since one is likely to score. But it also caps upside since both are unlikely to score lots.

Brees, PT, Shockey and Saints D. Worked out pretty well yesterday. Especially considering that my WRs are Moss and Welker. I'm living and dying by the Saints and Pats this year...

Back in the day, I used to start P. Manning, Edge and Harrison every week on my way to a few league championships in one league.

Campbell, Portis, Moss yesterday. Go ahead and laugh. However i still will probably win both my games in that league depending on what my last three guys do tonight. As a matter of fact all three of my guys playing tonight are Broncos ( Marshall, Dumervil, DJ Williams ).

I haven't myself, but last week I went against a guy who started Roddy White, Matt Ryan and jamal Turner. Needless to say i got crushed.

I'll never forget our league's 2006 Super Bowl.

My opponent started Bulger/Holt/S.Jackson. Game went into OT against the 'Skins, and all 3 had great games (esp SJax: 100 yds rushing and receiving).

I lost.

Same here....and back in the day....I was ecstatic if I could collect 3 49ers to start....although I had to get lucky in the draft or pull off a key trade to make that happen....
