Everything appears aligned for Evans

Lee Evans, WR BUF

News: Bills WR Lee Evans, who had a season-best 165 yards last week, including an 8-yard touchdown, has averaged 21.6 yards-per-catch (19 rec., 410 yards) and has six touchdowns (most vs. any opponent) in six games vs. the Dolphins. Buffalo head to Miami in Week 10.

Analysis: Evans has been an absolute nightmare for Miami fans in past seasons and comes into Week 10 on a tear. He is one of the hottest WRs in football and should be unquestionably considered a top-five Fantasy WR this weekend, going up against a pretty pathetic Miami secondary.

I sure hope so. I wonder where that thread is about Evans being a bust is now. More of the same from this guy. Slow start, huge finish. Patient owners rejoice.

Evans is going to abuse that Miami secondary. Did you watch that game against Cincy? Losman targeted him early and often and Evans made some tremendous catches. All aboard the Evans train to the championship.

I wonder what kind of trades people were able to pull of to get Evans? I'd like to see who got him for the least amount, not including from the WW.

In two leagues I traded for him:

Calvin Johnson for Evans

in the other

Donte Stallworth for Evans

Anyone else care to share.

Before week 4, I gave:

Braylon Edwards, Deion Branch, 1rst Waiver Priority

I got: Tom Brady, Lee Evans

Hell, I put the guy on waiver wire back in week 3. Luckily I picked him up again as a spot start before his 98 yard game (can't remember the week) and have been starting him ever since.

This year shows just how inconsistent

he is
his quarterbacks are.
Fixed
Exactly, just look at Steve Smith's situation. Did he all of a sudden start sucking? No, and people don't even think that because David Carr and Testaverde are not great options. Why isn't Evans extended the same courtesy?Smart people do extend him this benefit of the doubt. That's why he is on their teams on the cheap. He's every bit as talented as the top guys. Put him on the Patriots, he has Moss-like numbers. Put him on the Cowboys and he's going to do the same thing as TO. Give him Carson Palmer or Brett Favre, he's perennial top 5er.

In a dynasty league I traded Rudi Johnson and Lee Evans for Chad Johnson prior to the season.

3 weeks ago the owner I traded with dropped Evans so I picked him back up off the waiver wire. :goodposting:

He's doing fine now against what would be considered weak pass defenses. What happens when he plays against the Patriots again? Does he go back to playing poorly? We'll see.

I think I've got you both beat...I gave up Deshaun Foster for Evans AND Hasselbeck  What's funny is that this happened just before week 4 and the trade was suppose to be Foster for Hass, so he included Evans as a throw in out of frustration.

Just picked him up in a trade 2 weeks ago.

Nice deal for me.

Shipped off Alexander

got Evans and Favre

Great move so far.

2 weeks ago he was on our waiver wire. D'oh!I mocked the team that dropped him, contacted the team with #1 waiver wire position, had them pick up Evans and then trade him to me for the Ravens D.OK, let say it together now...."What Ravens D?!" and "Evans? Yeah, starting him with confidence".

What are you guys doing if Evans continues to play great this week, but then Trent Edwards gets named the starter again mid-next-week? It seems crazy, but I wouldn't put it past Jauron at this point. I'd be inclined to sell.

If Losman does good and Jauron picks Edwards against the Patriots the fans will have Jauron's head.

I picked him up off waivers and started him that week. 20.5 points. Sweet!

Jauron is a good coach. If they win, he stays in there. If he plays poorly, he's probably out of there. I don't get the Jauron hate sometimes. He's a pretty darn good coach that has pretty much had subpar talent his entire career to make a team out of.

Benched JP for Edwards because Edwards did "good." More like, the OL & Defense have done VERY good for them & Edwards received the credit. The offense was terribly conservative and Losman took the blame. That decision makes me question how short of a leash JP is on, although the offense & team are MUCH better off with JP in there. And him being conservative makes me hate him. We have Steve Fairchild and a super conservative head coach, it just doesn't work. Why can't the Bills score a TD in the red zone? Because we run the ball 75% of the time, it's like we telegram the playcalling every time we get close.

Two weeks ago I traded Cedric Benson for Evans and J. Lewis. The owner had no 2nd Rb due to injuries and bye week. Evans was a throw-in to make me accept the deal. I'm now close to moving Evans and Lewis for B. Edwards and Foster/Williams.
