Expectations for Matt Cassel this week (1 Viewer)

Is 250/2 a reasonable line to expect? I mean, he's playing the worst pass defense in the league. I'm using him to fill in for Vick in a start two QB league and he's only had one productive game all year. But he is coming up on a stretch of Houston, Jacksonville, Buffalo.

If he can't put up decent numbers in these games, do the Chiefs have to turn somewhere else - even if they win? Or is his job secure as long as the team wins?

At this point I wouldn't feel comfortable projecting more than 150 yards and 1 touchdown...no matter who the opponent is. Cassel looks really, really, awful.

After the season yes, but they're not going to bench him with no one else to take over -- especially if they win, which will likely only happen if he doesn't turn it over (his lone + point so far). They don't care about numbers. Clearly he has to play better but he doesn't need 300/3 a week like some teams do. The running game and D can win games, he just needs to do SOMETHING. If he can't give that--and they lose--then yeah, it's ovah.
