Anyone swimming in the SP, even until about now, are hardcore FF players.

Keep that in mind when you read a mainstream piece.

NFL.com (and many sites like it, including ours) have to cater to all levels of experience - so you're going to see some articles that the hardcore FF players will consider "fluff" - but they could be solid advice to a rookie.

Also understand that FF is a growing hobby / game - and when things grow, that means new people are coming into it for the first time. That factors in as well.

Just take it in stride and understand that not everything is written for the guys looking for a WR6 that could break out.

This is a very good point and I can understand the validity of #'s 2, 3 and 4 but "Know the Schedule and set a lineup every week"? I mean that's up there with look both ways before you cross the street.

FBGers are the upper class of FF. There are other classes out there, hopefully they will find their way. I can't preach how much this site dominates over anything I have ever seen. But Jeff brings up a good point, there are other market segments. Just like babies, you need to walk before you can run. In NFL.com's case, you need to crawl before you can walk.We are a spoiled bunch over here, props to FBG.

If you don't look both ways to cross the street, then you could be hit by a car and will be unable to set a lineup from surgery. That could cause you to lose, and every win counts. So I'd say look both ways before you cross the street is pretty important too.
