Explain to me Parler (parlor?) (1 Viewer)

See many post of people switching over to Parler so they aren't "censored" anymore.  For those that ventured that way is it set up the same as Facebook?  Are there advantages to moving over to that social media platform?  Was tempted to take a look but didn't know what app was the correct one to download, see them with both spellings in the app store...

From the little I’ve read it’s not an alternative to Facebook, but to Twitter. And it’s a conservative thing.
